so wait, is it to slide the whole seat forward and backward? or just the seat back, because the button stickers may be a smidge misleading there....

Look again, it's just the seat back that changes position not the entire seat.

FYI, there is a MUD member posting on FB that has the partial answer. So...get cracking folks ;)

OH IS THIS

so you can get to the back of the vehicle without getting out? like a camper?

EDIT:

1. drivers side control of passenger seat back
2. so you can easily get to the cargo area of your vehicle without getting out

1. We know

2a. Recline for make-out/foreplay mode, then 2b. Fold forward, deploy sleeping platform for "business time".

Guys you are so close it's ridiculous. My wife and I are both 6ft. Not much happens in the front seats or back seat for that matter.

it's not so that you can lower them both down all the way and put a sleeping platform on top is it?

can the seat backs support the weight of a sleeping platform with 2 people on them?

So, are you adding a recline switch for the driver for when your passenger falls asleep and you don't want them to wake up with a sore neck?

1 to move the passenger seat.
2. Because we are all OCD about our trucks,,,this is an easy way to perfectly adjust the seat to be perfectly in line with the drivers seat when exiting the vehicle--

I like this one too ;)

 Thought crossed my mind, but thought wow that is really stoopid. :flipoff2:

So, are you adding a recline switch for the driver for when your passenger falls asleep and you don't want them to wake up with a sore neck?

My family goes on these long drives and either my wife or my son would be falling asleep and their head would be bopping around. I would tell them to lay the seat back but they are asleep. So I try to move it but its totally unsafe while driving and sometimes I can't even reach it. So out of pure frustration I wanted the ability to gently, and without waking them up, to move the seat back down and let them sleep. Then when they get out of the truck and I get annoyed that they didn't put my seat back up I can do so from the comfort of my own seat. :grinpimp:

@Dazrin You are the winner of this lame little contest so you get a free DS Fire Extinguisher Mount AND the actual mod in question. Or you can take what is behind door number two and I can send you a Gift Cert to my site for $100. Let me know. PM me your address to ship or email to send the GC. Congrats and good thinking

Thank you! You have much more sympathy for your passengers than I do; I normally just give them a shove and say "put your seat back, silly!" :D

As for using the mod, as I hinted in the other thread, the knob for the seat recline option on my DS seat broke off and I haven't wanted to get a new seat controller to fix it so this would be very useful for me. I have also been waiting to order an APU until I get my storage console mod done to decide which one will work out better. Too many decisions - will probably choose both in the end. :)

I will get in touch via PM later today, need to decide on which way to go.

Well the mod just needs a switch slot so any freely available slot will work. I need to figure out a few things to make this mod an actual product so its not on the site as yet. Either way I'll work something out. For the time being PM me your email address and I will get you a Coupon Code for the $100. ;)

Dammit! That was exactly what I was going to say, but I had to go to a meeting and couldn't read all of this morning's posts.....

My wife does the same thing! Falls asleep, bobbing her head around until it bounces off the window and wakes her up! Then she's crabby at ME because I drive too rough!
