Took the minitruck up Imogene on Friday, could only get a little past Poser Rock, snowdrifts are into the 2'+ feet

Build ramps to go up the neck then back the mini up the ramps or just buy a longer trailerHmmm. Should've bought a bigger trailer.
Who's got a good idea to make this work without me having to buy a 30' hydraulic beaver?

i'll make it real easy for you, just send the pickup up here to me n you can trade the trailer for a shorter oneHmmm. Should've bought a bigger trailer.

I tried to cross over from Telluride to Ouray on Sunday. Ran into ice just above the mine so I had to turn back. The fall colors were amazing though!Took the minitruck up Imogene on Friday, could only get a little past Poser Rock, snowdrifts are into the 2'+ feet

Heres how we kind of do it . We don't use ramps though. I have found backing the mini up keeps tongue weight downI think that's a plan that will work, but run the 40 forward. My bumper/prerunner/fucdeer bar in the front hangs way out there. If I can get that forward more. I think I'm golden. A foot forward would do it I think. I might try making a ramp out of plywood and test the dimensions of what I'm thinking, then have somebody weld up ramps. I'd like to test out putting the 40 on the back. I'm pretty sure it'll be too much weight so far back. If Chris would've just bought a 40, I wouldn't have to worry about it.
The problem is that's a really nice sized trailer. Maneuverable, and not that expensive. You go much bigger and they start getting spendy quick. The hydraulic beaver tail would be sweet, but I don't want to buy a $20k trailer that is just handy, and not needed.
Great Pics! The recent snow up high and the fall leaves down low made for an amazing couple of days in the mountains. The weather was perfect as well.I had about the same idea. Ran engineer to lake city and some fs road back home.
