It took getting away from my ex wife and patience, I can finally clip my dog's nails with out much drama.
Nothing like dividing by half. 🤪

Chatting with several of the directors around the fire on Friday night I mentioned how SAS benefits from pre-selection… something I experienced in spades this past week.

The kind of people who will drive crazy distances to camp in the mountains to wheel their old Toyota rigs, by definition, have a lot more in common than not. So many good people all in one place… sharing beers, helping fix things, and giving from their experience; very humbling to be a part of it. My family had a great time and we are already planning for next year.

Special thanks to @mesa man, @80Lady, and @BombCity (and his clan) for welcoming me around their campfire on the last night. And many thanks to all the other directors who put so much time and energy into such a great event.

Some photos to share…

Man I'm sorry I missed this! It was a pleasure having you and your family this year. It was great chatting with you around the fire. As Chanette said, we are humbled to be able to contribute to the Cruiser community and seeing you and your family make great memories is what it is all about for us. I hope to see you all next year!

Our good friend Chris Dickinson, @cdphotog, sent me the Dropbox link to his images from SAS 7 this afternoon. Chris had other commitments back home and had to cut his trip short this year, so if you were fortunate enough to be on the trail with him Monday or Tuesday, you will love what you're about to see. Even if you weren't on the trail with him, you will enjoy these images.

Chris shoots these free-of-charge because he loves his craft, and for some strange reason, he seems to like Cruiser folk. He told me he just can't turn it off when he's seeing opportunities like these. That being said, he is good with us using the images for personal purposes. However, if you would like to use any of them for commercial or editorial purposes, please reach out to Chris. And, as always, please be sure to give photo credit whenever possible. I'm sure he would appreciate you all giving him a follow on Instagram, as well.

I saw that. Killer shot. Looks great in B&W, too.

Chris, it’s a mutual admiration society. We are lucky to have you along. Hope you will make it next year also!šŸŽÆ

For those unfortunate enough to have been along with me on Poughkeepsie when I barfed all my T Case oil & waited for the JB Weld repair to cure etc etc…I have a 9/20/23 appointment with Georg @ Valley Hybrids to do a proper Tig Weld repair.

Doing ā€˜what needs to be done’…but I will say JB Weld did what it was supposed to do & got us off the trail. Thanks to @Jason hansen for the help on this repair…and Steve Cooper @samc2447 and everyone who patiently waited for the cure process.

Tinker just had an annual check up. The vet said she should have her teeth cleaned.
They knock her out for it.

$450!
I'd dealing with the same thing right now with Bullet...$500 to have his teeth cleaned...

Only the shame of having a picture taken...and posted. LOL.
Groomers use generally this technique all the time.
Picked up a trick watching a groomer. She used the sanding drum and a Dremmel on the claws/nails. Seems to stress them out less and also less risk of hitting the quick.

I think they follow whatever energy you've got going on. If you know you're in for a battle, I think they pick up on that

Well I completely forgot to make a post on this because you know, life. Anyways the 4R served its purpose of hauling all the jitter juice for all you folks. But she’s gone and living in Dallas now because of my recent acquisition of an 80!
Being Kin to Casey (@POTATO LAUNCHER) and the son of Tim (@BombCity) it would be blasphemy not to be in a cruiser.
Huge thanks to Rory from @RocketCityCrzrs for making me bite the bullet on this truck too.
Now you can all get great coffee from two youngsters in their first cruiser.
Thank you Dad, Casey, Rory, everyone else involved within SAS, most importantly my grandfather Bob ā€œPopā€. I’d kill to be able to show him this I know he’s smiling down on all of us.
