Engineer pass is open !!! I'm going to run it this Fri / sat if anyone is interested in joining in lll go in on the lake city side right now my plan is to drive over Fri camp at Toblin falls then run the pass sat then head back or camp again and head back Sunday... I have never been up there this early before expect a mudfest

@DangerNoodle saved my bacon last year…Big Time. He suggested it might last a long time but should really be considered a temporary fix.

Dude, I get it.
I printed off a calender, wrote down the crap that needs to happen, then built a schedule.
I was starting to freak out.
Then I was both soothed and troubled as the reality started creeping in.
Should've skipped this year and started prep for next year.

Good afternoon everyone, I see that many of you are prepping you Cruisers for this years event.
I recommend these in a list of priorities for myself.
Be mindful of our sponsors on page 1 post 2 of this thread. These Businesses can supply you with just about anything you may need from maintenance to accessories.
1. Brakes and steering, please make sure it is up for the trip. The trails we lead aren't necessarily the most difficult but these shelf roads don't allow much room for error.
2. Cooling systems need to be in good working order. Check Hoses, Belts, Fan Clutch, add a coolant catch can (puke tank) if you don't have one. 3. Please verify that 4WD High and Low range engage and you know how to use them.
4. Carburated guys be prepared to purchase Ethenol Free Gasoline. These elevations will vaporlock a rig easily on cheap gas.
5. FireExtinguisher of some type that is charged.
6. Either a hand held or hard mount GMRS / FRS radio for communication. The cheap ones from the big box stores will work fine in a pinch.
7. Please plan on having a relaxed vacation with like minded folks from all over the IH8Mud community. Prepare to make friends for life with many.
We have been very busy behind the scenes getting everything in order for the best SAS yet. Can't wait to see your smiling faces.

Would've been year #5 for us, but we'll be at the house on baby duty. I'll live vicariously through y'all via the interwebz. Someone grab a photo of Blue Mesa Reservoir as you pass by please. I'm curious how much it recovered after this year's melt.
