I interrupted bowling in a robe to get in

So I met a guy at SAS #5 that had a really nice 80 (maybe LX) on 37s, dissent rear bumper. Super clean rig. Pretty sure he told me he was from Southern CA and was with his lady and I think a kid. I'm terrible with names, worse with remembering mud handles. Anyone know this fellow? I recently picked up an 80 and was hoping to find details on how he built up his truck before I make decisions on mods.

I believe your referring to @Road Apple . Believe he had a dissent rear and was traveling with his daughter and wife.

I think you are correct. Thank you. I met so many good folks down there I can't remember handles and names, ha ha.

I dream of a list of names and handles! Instagram names should be in there as well, that community is growing as well. Trying to tag everyone that is in pictures is so much fun! Lol 🤪

yeah would be cool to have a list of photos of cruisers with user names/names/handles for those of us that can't remember stuff but remember really cool cruisers, ha ha. Maybe that should be submitted during sign up.

Yup, that’s me. @Broski has a similar 80 series that is setup very well for the rocks and difficult trails. Check out his build thread. Had I found his build sooner, I would have copied his setup. He’s on 39’s with a 2” lift that flexes well and has a low center of gravity. One of the best 80 builds out there in my opinion.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Buddy since SAS #2. He had the most personality of any dog I have met and was always friendly and eager to meet new folks. Truly “mans best friend”, can only imagine what it’s like to loose a companion like that. My condolences for your loss Pat. He will be missed.

our condolences for the loss of Buddy, Pat. His happy smiles will be missed. To loose a furbaby is never easy, may he rest now.

Thank you! Kinda rough around here right now but Buddy had a good run. And he outlived his prediction by 6 months - had fun living right til the end too.
