So what kind of tires are you guys running? (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking of getting these in 33" for my stock 15" 60 rims. They would go on an 80 axle transplant. I was considering the BFG AT KO2's but I hear they aren't very good in the rain and it rains here a lot.

I bought 12.5 ones. They are a bit too wide for the factory wheel but will do for now. Could use a 8" wide wheel to look better IMO

I had Mickey Thompson ATZ-4's on my 60 for about 8 years / 50,000k and found them very good all round. Was running 305/70/16 on 8" rims with -13mm offset, 38mm spacers on the rear and 50mm OME lift. When I did the rebuild I wanted to go slightly smaller for clearance and better tracking on the road. After some research and talking with others I went for a set of BFG KM3's in 285/75/16 (same OD just narrower).

I absolutely love these tyres. They're excellent off-road in all conditions and perform surprisingly well on the road. Users have commented that they find them quieter than a lot of A/T's and I'd certainly concur. They are quieter than my old Mickey's, although they were starting to get old and hard so that may not be a totally fair comparison.

These are definitely an M/T that works in all conditions and isn't compromising the on-road experience to any significant degree.

Mickey on the left, KM3 on the right.

I have a 60. The tires on it from the prior owner are Uniroyal Liberators P235/75/15 108s. I see the general consensus is 31x10.5x15. These 31s appear to be quite a bit wider. Does anyone ride on 235s? I see BFG A/T exists in both of these sizes.

The 235/75R15s are close to the stock tire size. A small bump up in height would be the 30X9.50R15s.

Thanks. Why do many go an inch wider with the 10.5s? Are they still on the stock wheels?

BFG doesn't make the 31x9.5 anymore; the 10.5 is the narrowest currently offered.

I see BFG does make the same size 235/75/15 as the Uniroyals I am replacing. They also sell the 31x10.5s for a bit more. So I guess when people want to get the extra inch height you have to also go wider. And the 7" rims handle that without a problem...
