I've got to get a van to Durham and Chapel Hill by noon tomorrow. I guess we should leave now.

At 1:30am the ice layer on the snow here almost supported my 80lb dog. I suspect it'll start melting shortly but should ice up again quite nicely overnight. I hate this crap. Looking forward to 60* early next week.

I had to go bust up an area and path in the yard for Splash this morning. Her legs were just flying out from under her.

Gotta remember to keep our furry and feathered friends happy

so that means no beer today then??

Had to make a run to the store to get Valentine cards, candy and so on for the wife and kids. Cruiser is at the my office so took the Defender. Crazy thing is the bread aisle. People go crazy, good thing is that there was not a lot of people on the roads.

I went to the HT by my house (right by NC State) and the bread aisle is full. The beer aisle, however, was empty. Haha!

Speaking of furred and feathered. Keep an eye on the paws if your out with the pooches. We got one cut paw and one bloody nail victim here. The slush is just chewing away at the nails so keep an eye on your buddies if your out.

I am bummed. I have my cruiser at the shop the other day doing some PM on it and its tore apart when I realize the part I have is wrong. No big deal right, I ordered A new one from Toyota (which I should have done in the first place) and the next day was told it would not arrive due to the weather. This was before it ever started snowing though. I have only owned it for 2 weeks and was really looking forward to the snow

pulled out 8 people yesterday and 12 today and gave a young marine a ride to their house when I couldn't do anything for his vehicle.

Almost got myself stuck helping one guy when I failed to realize how pitched the shoulder was, and broke through the snow onto a sheet of ice and into a duke power fence. Managed to get myself righted and out after about 30 minutes. I think the cruiser during coded to drive out when the guy with the wrangler stopped and asked if I needed a pull.

Lots of fun but I am beat now.....

Had a ball wheeling around the last two days. Got the rebuilt carb and recurved dizzy in the 60 the day before the last snow. Great to have a smooth running cruiser and in 4WD with the rear locked these things eat drifted snow. My redneck buddies have been impressed! Who needs horsepower anyway? Only one I had to leave....a 2WD flower delivery van that tried to drive around a line truck on the shoulder and got stuck 12" from a 6' deep drain dike. Had to tell him no matter whether I winched or pulled one end of his van was going to drop in and roll his van. Not sure why he thought he could take that line and not get stuck.

Had to chase a bunch of teens off my front & side lawn at 2:50am. Solid sheet of ice. They were sledding and experimenting with the way sound carries over a frozen landscape. It was fun watching them try to climb back up the icy hill to escape my wrath. I thought they were gonna leave the girl behind - I bet there's blood from her multiple face plants. Hehehe.

Surprised you didn't just grab a beer and join in the fun...

You're such a crochety old man, lmao. Just kidding, but that is funny.

Did you take video? If not, you should have!
