My son was also too sick to go. Took him out with me yesterday while i put up X-mas lights to see how he would hold up in the cold and the runny nose wouldn't stop.

Sorry i didn't get back to you last night, i have not been on since yesterday morning. Been a little hectic with 5 kids running around the house.

We got the most in the Asheville area last night and into the afternoon. We had around 3" while those west of Asheville will be getting the hammer tonight. The storm didn't behave like the meteorologists thought it should, so we ended up with all snow instead of rain at my house and more sleet out toward Maggie Valley, so it might not have been that great of a show until tomorrow...

much closer

there is a place right outside of hendersonville that does tubing but i will have to find the name of it

went to moonsine mtn last year. Other than the huge lines it was fun. My toddler doesn't realize the concept of waiting in line, was not a fun trip for me. He also refused to walk up the hill so after every run he stayed in the tube while i pulled him back up the hill.

I just got back from a little snow and ice. I got a call around 9:30 that a friend's two kids and 8 of their friends were stuck in the mountains. I just got back in so that would make a 3 hour round trip to get them out. We left two cars but drove two out. I got to wheel a Volvo wagon a weee bit to get it out.

Fun times!

POWDA DAY!!

Sorry you guys couldn't make it up; but don't worry you only missed about a foot of snow :grinpimp:

We got shafted at my parents place; had sleet and freezing rain all night and ended up with about 1.5" of sleet/ice :o Made getting out of there very interesting to say the least:eek:

Luckly about 4 miles west of town up on the BRP they got dumped on.... best I could tell it was any where from 8" to 12" and they are supposed to get close to another foot before it is all over with :steer:

The wife and I did about a four mile hike on the BRP and it was fantastic not a sole around and it was absolutely a winter wonderland!!!! After our hike we did some obligatory sledding with the pups :grinpimp:

Here are some pics for those that couldn't make it.....

Man i gotta get my heat fixed so i can get in the white stuff while i am off during shutdown!!

Nice pics. Is this at the Hwy 19/BRP interchange you were talking about?

Jeremy

Yep that is it..... sledding area is about the size of half a football field. So it isn't huge by any means but it is fun enough especially for young kids.

Nice JP, love the look of you dog on the sled!!!

Girlfriends take away from cruiser funds, thats why my wife won't let me have one.
