Awesome, I was looking into that one, but like some other posts stated, the broken English is a little scary.

Bed lined mine a few hours ago :)

Only shot the top half of the hat as I'm curious to see the difference of how it holds up over time :hhmm:

Gunna let it cure for a few days and probably install over the weekend :meh:

Yall have the people at ARB worried.

ARB USA (ARB Air Locker)
With a lot of buzz lately about Australian made Safari snorkels vs imitation Chinese manufactured snorkels on popular off road forums, here are a few interesting reads both by Safari Snorkel as well as an independent lab.

they posted that on facebook and twitter.

Better grab those eBay snorkels fast. ARB might commence legal action soon!

Not possible with the Chinese. They can pretty much do what they want.

I wonder who funded the independent study...

I just bought this snorkel too. If you decide to have these made up I'm intrested.
Thanks

How about an engraved/etched Land Cruiser Oval like this :hhmm:

Thinking about having it done on thin SS or aluminum and just screwing it in place

:eek:I found this on ebay for 8.50. 5 $ shipping from Hong Kong so for 13.50 and after talking to snake eater about spraying it with bedliner, I am going to sand the seams and sand the oval off, then mount the emblem and then bed line it.
The emblem is 11 1/2 inches long, but has a factory look to it and if it is too long then I will just cut the toyota off and use the LC part. I will adhere it with E6000 and let it roll like that.

Just another alternative. They have it in Silver or Gold.

Also picked up a set of wheel caps for 50$ with free shipping. I'll put those on, pull the 3 I have off and use them as back ups if needed down the road.

Got the 2 reverse LEDs from Pfran (vendor on here) and what a difference those make.

Fighting some shallow mount JBLs for the front doors, but looks like I have it figured out and won't have to cut anything. Painted the grills with color coded Dupli color and works great. Will post once that is done.

I had no idea I would spend so much time on here, but thanks to you guys for the tips, help and tricks to keep me rolling. Much appreciated.

Has anyone who ordered these had an issue getting t he shipping info. I paid on the 13th and have not gotten anything back. I emailed the seller no response. It says that it needs to be signed for but if I dont know when to expect it how can I sign for it?

I just ordered one and it's showing updates pretty regularly if you go into 'My Ebay' and check out your purchase history there is a direct tracker link.

Checked My ebay and it says that I paid but that's it. I sent the seller another message. I hope I get something before they try to deliver and it gets sent back to China for not being signed for.

Was it supposed to be sent via FedEx or something else? Which vendor did you go to? Mine was FedEx and had every detail from Malaysia to Montana listed on the tracking.

On a separate note, I just did what eBay says not to do. I went to the seller in Hong Kong and asked for a special audio cable. A 5 meter long pair of Audioquest King Cobra with XLR ends. They charged me $140 for a $500 pair of cables (free shipping) and directed me straight to paypal, bypassing the eBay transaction process. I actually Paypal'd them 90 GBP instead of U.S. $. I took the risk. 5 days later I got a FedEx from China with my cables.

So, at this point my experience with these "gray market" sellers has been really good.

This is the link to the one I bought.
Toyota Landcruiser LC 80/Lexus LX450 snorkel Free shipping | eBay

Was just reading the details for the purchase it says it's being shipped USPS. Kind of odd coming from China.

Well it was kind of funny I sent them a message stating I need some kind of tracking info or I would contact eBay and I got an email back in 15 minutes. So I guess all is good.
