Snake, I like to look of the top hat.... Seems to be functional..

Curious to get your take on it...

EDIT: A little too late.. saw you answered that :-)

I like it :)

Definitely worth the extra $15 bucks and it looks like it even has enough room to add a filter if I wanted

Would that be a "Pre Filter"

The hat itself is considered a pre-filter, but it has enough room on the inside if I wanted to add a paper element type filter

Interesting.. did not think of that. I am subscribed so I cant wait to see what you come up with.

Sounds good.. cant wait to see your sticker..

:hhmm:or Template that would allow us to spray on a logo??

Sticker or template, no problem. Once i get mine, we'll come up with a few designs.

Sumthin like this Superwinch sticker, but fit to the molded section of the snorkel

Bubble sticker that big is gonna cost some money. Plus I don't think you have the quantities to backup putting them into production or what it would actually say; landcruiser/ safari? / :flipoff2: / ??

Of the wo sellers on EBay which do you guys think would be the preferred one to buy from, the JDM-Motorparts or Leitian1228? Prices are close but just want to make sure so I dont get burned.

I ordered the one from Leitian1228, I sent him a question about the what material they were made from, and he sent me a reply very quickly stating that they were LLDPE, so I went ahead and ordered it up a few days ago.

Same here.

:deadhorse:

I may be beating a dead horse, but I am convinced that there is one factory and one machine making these. Since these suppliers all seem to be providing all the correct parts too, just go with the cheapest unless you're in a hurry or you want to buy a Safari.

On that topic, I just discovered that the factory in china that makes the $250 audio cables I like (Audioquest King Cobra) is selling then on eBay for cheap. Like, $50. I ended up buying one and just did some A/B comparisons. There is no difference. It is the same cable. It is the same cable made on the same machine with the same solder and everything. I've bought a couple of pairs used for half, but if I'd known...

So far I have only found the cables and snorkel deal. I'm sure there are others. I think these factories are selling higher volume items like this to make some money, but these are relatively under-the-radar kinds of products in general. Audioquest King Cobra is one of that company's top selling cables. The site selling them on eBay is only selling one other type of cable at all.
