Does anyone have a picture of what the end of this cable should look like?

I've seen a number of A440F pictures but not the A343F.

And does anyone know if I were to find a new end connector, would splicing work?

I believe the part I need is NLA and the A440F cable is too short.

Yes, the A343 kickdown cable is nla.
I happen to have mine disconnected today. The cylinder on the end is 10 mm wide and 4.5 mm in diameter. It might be possible to braze a new fitting on the end.
A custom cable could probably be made if your housing is still in good shape.
Thank you!

@florida95fzj : There's a few options if you want to fix the barrel fitting/stop:

Dimensions of the cable stop/fitting:

(from above) 10mm x 4.5mm = 3/8" x 3/16" = 0.39" x 0.177"

Throttle (Transmission) Cable diameter ~ 0.06"to 0.07" = ~1.5 to 1.7mm (diameter of hole needed in repair stop/fitting)

Some different sizes/types of repair fittings/stops:

IMHO if you use one of the quick repair stops with a screw to pinch the wire consider adding a drop of solder to secure it all together
