Me too….

For anyone that thought this was a mall crawler or a show queen I’m going to tell you that I had a front row seat and Scraps can drive and this pig will impress, I’m an idiot with no give a phuck when it comes to vehicles but I would not have taken this work of art on the trial we did together.

I’ll let Scraps give details but I will say both our pigs have matching scratches now as some of the bushes apparently had pig magnets buried deep inside..

One sweet Piggie! Here's Ron, Jeri, PabloCruise (in shorts on a cold, blustery day) and me while airing down before JaxTrax yesterday. U-bolts seemed to have stretched some more as another trail snug-up was required.

Thanks guys ,

Steve, those are some awesome pictures! Totally amazing what these Toyotas can do. I never 4 wheeled on anything like that and with your spotting, we got through it even with my u bolt problem. We had a ball at the whole event, marking the calander for next year.

We're limping home now and without J Macks help, we'd still be at camp! Thanks Man! In fact I owe thanks to a lot of people for getting me straightened out. I've got some redoing on my drive train, so back in shop.

I learned a lot listening to all the guys and have some work to do.

Delancy, I met your buddy Bill ( BD ), he sure knows Toyotas. You were lucky to have him work on the 55.

Back on the road.

EPIC...needs more pics!

Ron, we hope you and the better half make it to Cruise Moab next year as it was great having you and your beautiful rig there this year. It will be the 20th Anniversary of the event and the Rising Sun Club promises to make it the best ever!
Just learning of your build this past week in camp, I haven't had time to read your entire build thread yet and I have a question that may have already been answered so sorry for any repeating. Being a 62 guy I'm not familiar with the various suspension differences between them and 55s. Never having seen caster wedges being used in the rear axle setup I have to ask about their purpose and what they are made of. The way your U-bolts seemed to be loosening so rapidly. the wedges seem to be a red-flag. If it's a regular thing to use the wedges in a 55 rear suspension, please forgive my ignorance. Why are you "limping" home now - because the A/C isn't working? ;) Hopefully, that's the extent of your problems and that you make it back home safely and soundly!!

Some cool news, J Mack showed with his 55 and Pablo is here also. J Mack is coming with my group, so we should have some awesome pictures. Not sure if Pablo got with us. Going to be a great time!

Man it was pretty cool meeting up with you, your lovely bride, and Mr. & Mrs J Mack! That Pig is gorgeous!

Hope you guys get home without too much drama!

I'm sitting here outside OK. City, eating fried catfish and drinking cold Bud, life is good. About the rear caster shims, I'm running a double cardon in the rear and was under the idea I needed to point the pinion at the transfer case, so it wouldn't vibrate. I do believe they are part of my problem, seems my pig also suffers from stretchy nuts!

Long story short, my Wife and I really enjoy the wagon for traveling and I'm going to rebuild the drive train. I learned a lot from J Mack the last few days and going to make some major changes. When I get home tomorrow, we'll talk more.

Cheers!
