Wow Ron, looks like you're just about ready to hit the road. Looking beautiful as always. Can't wait to see some road pics!

Thanks Guys,

I've got 130 miles on it now and everything seems to be acting right so far. Hopefully we'll get the steering worked out next week. I ordered a new muffler for it, the one on there now is way too loud, sounds like a hotrod going through the gears. :)

I think we need a video of you running through the gears foot to the floor

You and Bob are going to get me trouble. This one seems a lot faster/stronger than my old 40 with a 327 in it. I can't imagine one with a turbo on it. 60 MPH feels just about right for me! :)

Working on getting my camping boxes mounted. I have four of these Military boxes that can be strapped down with the airline tracking. One will have tools and parts and the others cooking utensils and food. The new muffler showed up today, so I've something to do. The front end was aligned today, toe in was out an 1/8th inch out and set the steering wheel straight. For some reason it made the steering a lot better. Caster was spot on, according to the shop. I'm happy with the steering, not like a sports car, but good for a Landcrusier.

Spend some time this week going through this tread from page 1.
All four and a bit years of it, up till now.
All I can say is truly Awesome and Impressive. WOW!!!
I am a 60-Series guy, but this Iron Pig of yours is on another level!
Top notch and then some!!

Thanks Man and sorry for the build taking so long. I never thought it would get so deep. Glad I did it, but want to use it now.

Trying to get everything done before Tuesday, departure day. Got the winch wrapped and bought a cool vintage ice chest just because. :) The ice chest is a Cronco, all metal cooler from the Sixties. It's NOS still in the original box! I also laid a 1/4 inch rubber pad down on the floor. Not much left to do.

Man, that cooler is a pretty great score. Happy trails! Let me know if you make it to Ukiah! I'll have beer in the fridge and a guest room for you. (Price of admission will be answering my 20,000 questions about life, and pig restoration!)

Napster, sounds like a great offer! Just to warn you, I tend to nod off after three beers. :) California is on the list, some day.

Well, we're all packed and ready to leave in the morning. The back is full and she's squatting some from the weight. I'll try to post pictures along the way, but if not then when we get back. Been waiting for this trip for a long time, should be a great adventure.

Just want to thank everybody for putting up with me and the SLOW 71 for all these years, now it's time to get her dirty.

MOAB OR BUST!

:) I've checked them a half dozen times this week! Checking everything I can get a wrench on.

Thanks J Mack!
