The only reason these bumpers are "not rated" is because of our litigious society.

I towed my 9,800 lb. caterpillar little excavator plus 2200 lbs trailer from Marin county to Joshua Tree using a 4x4 labs bumper with integrated hitch so that's 11k on the bumper hitch
just sayin:cheers:
Who works on your 80 in the bay area?

With the 4x4 labs group buy going on, has there ever been a Slee group buy discount? After seeing the Slee bumper in person, I liked it better than the 4x4 labs one. With the discount, the 4x4 labs bumper is much more attractive.

I feel the same way. I slightly prefer the Slee, especially for the fact that it is bolt on vs. having to cut the cross member like others mentioned in this thread. The added clearance, extra discount and modular-ability of the labs bumper though is pushing it out in front for me.

Clearance is definitely the best with Luke's (4x4labs) I lean more towards wheeling side of things rather than overland. I am super happy with my front and rear Labs bumbers!

nice... I didn't know Luke's bumper could be ordered assembled, thought it was drive-in or a kit on a pallet... Ouch on the 9 month wait though, one helluva Baby!
Ordered mine in kit form had it the next week

Phil, any more shots of this bumper? Looks sweet! been on the fence about building versus buying for a while now

My 80 came with a slee w/ dual swing outs sold it and upgraded to a 4x4 labs with no swing outs. Labs has a better departure angle but they both have too much corner IMO. Did the pictured bumper for a customer and it has them both beat in the corners.
