Gradual overheating problem in my fj60. I replaced the thermostat, thermostat housing, water pump and fan clutch. Then I flushed everything and used a radiator clean out product. Refilled it and came out the next day to a leak! I was gonna use my backup radiator but it had clearly seen better days too. Ordered a new all aluminum champion radiator off ebay for $160 and problem solved! It actually fit absolutely perfectly which is the first time I have had 0 alignment problems.
Old crap... If anyone wants one of these as a spare to get rebuilt they're welcome to one.

Looks familiar! I have a leaky old stock one here too! A lot of brass. They just get too plugged to do that job.

4th!? Ya you got it!

Yeah I swapped in a 5 speed a couple months ago and I kept going 2nd to 5th. Finally figured out where 3rd was and then I was able to hit 4th. 120 furious ponies right there!
Then my buddy with a v8 in his nova tried it. It's a 3 speed auto but he was definitely bogging when he hit 3rd but he sure started his burnouts easier!

So then we decided to see what a f350 with a 460 and 35's could do. Good times!

I gotta stay off those insurance auction websites! I just picked up a 2005 Tundra crew cab for $3828! They're worth between $10-15k. It's got 150k on it and sounds/drives like a new truck. Yes it needs a bed, fenders and hood but it's all cosmetic. When I pull the bed I'll be sure and take some frame measurements to make sure it's all square, but still, I am super stoked! If you guys are ever looking for a vehicle I'd definitely hit up the Copart website. I picked it up in Eugene and drove it 75mph all the way back yesterday.

Keeping it for the time being. Contemplating a flat bed 33's and no lift at the moment. Gotta get the pig going and we'll see if I'll keep it then.

Has anyone been in to Sourdough this year yet? I'm want to take the Grandkids there pretty soon either that or down Diamond Creek if I still can. I was wondering if anyone noticed if the turn off for DC has been blocked since the road is on their latest list of roads not to be used. ??

Pulled the bed off 2 days after I bought it. Then decided to fix the fender and passenger door because someone reefed the door open after the accident causing an annoying air leak when driving.

Beds for these things start at $1200 and it wouldn't be the right color either. So I found a bed wrecked on the other side that was the right color. It was in Sacramento for $350, I road tripped down there one day and ratchet strapped it in place.

After I got home and removed the new bed I took the truck to get the frame straightened. The last 3' on the drivers side was up about a half an inch. New stage collision charged me $470 but was done in 3 days.

In the meantime I bought a spot weld cutter and went to work. After about 5 hours I had both drivers bed sides removed.

In the background of this picture you can see the 2nd bed side.

Got the truck back from getting the frame straightened yesterday so I figured I should do a ton of test fitting before I plug weld that side into place. It's pretty close but I wanted to get it as close as possible.

It's bolted down but I will need to do some shimming to get it better. The bedside is just wedged /hanging on there.
