The motor that he had installed has 3,500 miles since the install which includes the 200 mile drive after it was installed a year ago. He needs to get the company to replace it.

I went to check it out. The consigner , Ted, was a cool guy. The previous owner was deceased and his son was just cleaning out real estate and his rigs. He also recently sold the father's 2022 Tacoma with 8000 miles. The son had sold several estates as well and is in Paraguay doing some sort of a soul quest. While I was checking it out and finding some pockets of rust under the floor boards, rusty patina on the frame, aftermarket ignition junk and some tinkery wiring garbage under the hood I heard Ted say to a possible buyer on the phone," There's a guy here now looking at it who seems to know a lot about these, do you want to talk to him? No, he's not gonna buy it, just a minute " I never said that I wasn't going to buy it.
It wasn't worth the $ 21k to me but yeah, it was probably a good deal to someone. The future buyer had a FJ40 in highschool, something about a 327, blah, blah, blah. He lives up in Washington.
If it didn't have rust issues, albeit minor for that era of sheet metal I would have had to make a tough decision. Buyer put a deposit down and has until Monday to check it out and buy or back out, deposit refunded. Ted runs a cool business. He really likes motorcycles.
