Check out this great many times during my build. So I thought it good to contribute now that I've made some progress. The lever is for the PTO winch. I still need to add some indicators and take care of a few details – was planning to paint it body color but I'm on the fence.

Hi igniter3,

Great work on the upgrades to your dash. It exhibits high quality. I'm fairly new to the FJ40 family; is the center panel from an OEM application? I don't intend to take anything away from those who have used aluminum plate, but your approach is impressive.

Blue44, likewise your dash is a winner with the upgrades and very clean looks.

Hi Ken,

Your dash caught my eye - is this the dash panel Man-A-Fre offers? I've been eyeing their gauge panel for an upgrade to my '72 FJ40 and was hoping to see some pics of one finished out.

I've been dealing with issues trying to get OEM gauges functioning since the PO had completed a 2F swap and have come to the realization that aftermarket gauges will provide superior information on how healthy the 2F is. If this is not the correct forum to ask questions, please steer me to where I can post a few questions in dealing with an upgrade such as you did. Thx.

Steve

No, I made it my self. Ordered a 1 foot ABS sheet. Rounded the corners with my dremel. Cut holes for the 3 switch carrier and a power socket I bought at a marine shop. I have since added Flood lights PIAA Lights and OENM new switch and swapped out the other switches for the new Billet knobs made by Redline

OR you may have been talking about the Gauges. That I don't know as it was in the truck when I bought it

Some cool ideas out there!

Don't know that there's anything special about an Oct' 75 dash, but here she is.
