I'd like to make some space in the shed. I can't imagine ever putting the OEM wheels back on the truck, but is there any other reason to keep them?

Any suggestions other than craigslist or FB marketplace to sell them? Not really looking for top dollar or anything.

And of course, in the off chance there's someone in the DFW area that's interested in them let me know.

Here in MI, some put winter tires on a second set of wheels, but probably never in TX. List them in the Mud classifieds.

Once I got a 5th matching wheel I got rid of my stockers as soon as possible. I ended unloading them to a local rim reseller/repair shop and got I think 400 or so for all 5 of them.

oh wow! I wouldn't have imagined that much. I'll look into this. Thanks a lot!

Hah, yep, not in TX. Thanks for the idea on the classifieds. Didn't even know that existed.

I sold mine here for $250, it cost the buyer more in shipping. The only reason I can see to keep them is for eventual resale of the vehicle.

If you ever envision selling the beast it'd be good to have them. IMO, most aftermarket choices really detract from the presentation. OEM are best-at least, that's my perspective when considering the 40 through 100 series. I'm not too familiar with 200 series.
Yeah, I know black wheels are the rage these days. I think they look like crap. :p

I kept mine, taking up space in the shed. I'd like to lose em, now bites on marketplace yet. I'll look into resellers though, sounds solid.
Cool. I found a local place where I could send a pic and request a quote online. I'll let you know what they offer (if they offer).

Yeah this is what I was kind of struggling with too. I don't want them taking up space but wasn't sure if I'd regret it when it comes time to trade up to a newer LC. Thanks for the note.

I debated on selling my HE wheels but they really tie the room together well.

Haha, this reminds me of one of my renters who's lived in the house for 4 years, and every time I come over he has an austin-healy cylinder head on the kitchen counter. The house (and the cylinder head) is neat and tidy, and when I was a college kid, I had a Honda cylinder head in the dining room for about a year, so I felt like I found a kindred spirit :hillbilly:

The factory rims are a big part of the look for these trucks of an otherwise unremarkable design. They have to be somewhat rare with how few LC there are in the US, I wouldn't get rid of them in case you want to go back to them or sell the truck.

Unless they are the 16+ rims which are horrible and can go, for sure.

I would trade my 13 wheels for 16+ in a heartbeat.

If you want 2 extras from an 18 LX, come get them... I think I still have a factory FJ set too you can have. It is a nice thought keeping them, but unless you are trading up and put the old ones on for sale, they will never go back on. At least in my 15 or so examples.

I love the 2016+ design.

I’ve had this internal debate going for a few years about whether or not to put my HE wheels on my wife’s 2016 Blizzard Pearl and throw her wheels on my Silver 2013.
