I have 1979 fj 43, looking to replace the shocks. What is my best options. I think it was lifted 5"? and is heavier than fj40, does that make a difference in shocks? it will all be on road driving, no off roading. I am having a hard time searching for shocks and many sites say that "will not fit your vehicle"

5” lift on a 43 (or 40) is tall! You are gonna have to measure the eye to eye length then go shopping!
