:bang: I want to go, but I think I have too much work here. Don't want more stuff piled up in my living room for the rest of the week. I think I will head out for a run next weekend it anyone is up for it.

Wasn't that what you guys said about the Christmas tree run this year?

:p

Ya, so?

I'm so confidant today will not be hard I'm leaving the 32" ATs on the truck. I'll put the MTs back on for real wheeling ... like Moab.

I am leaving for the N Portal in about 20 minutes. Any last minute plan changes?

We had a great time today guys! The forest is beautiful this time of year and the weather was perfect.

Looks fantastic. I kind of wanted to go but I don't think we'll be doing any wheeling until Danise's neck gets back to being in good shape and a little bumping and bouncing the the Cruiser doesn't hurt her.

Awesome pic Jon, where are the rest?

Didn't really get a lot of pics. It was a beautiful day - the only thing that ruined it were the dozer tracks. They were on the fill over the rough areas of the pipeline road, which had *just* been reworked.

Here's a small version of that link, the track, and a blow up of the Los Alamos Ski Area in the background of the first picture...

This is kind of what it looked like live.

Wow that's cool.

Way bummed I was off in the boring parts of the continent. Flat, humid, and too hot for me. Looks like fun! On the plus side: when we flew over the Sangres and the southern Jemez I could see all the aspens turning. Can't wait to hit the road for the Chama area in two days.

ALBUQUERQUE – In the run up to Saturday’s drawing for the $206.9 million Powerball® jackpot, the New Mexico Lottery sold approximately $7.6 million in tickets and raised approximately $2.05 million for the Legislative Lottery Scholarship program.

The jackpot run up began on Aug. 6 at $15 million and rolled 15 times until Saturday when a ticket sold by the New Mexico Lottery matched the jackpot winning numbers of 13, 24, 29, 40, 52 and the red Powerball number of 29.

The New Mexico Lottery is still waiting for the ticket holder to come forward to claim the $206.9 million prize. This prize would be the largest Powerball jackpot won in New Mexico and the 15th largest jackpot in the history of game played by 31 lotteries.

Fact: The HDC members attending the run exited the Jemez mountains through Espanola, NM.

Fact: The lone winning Powerball lottery ticket was purchased in Espanola, NM on Saturday afternoon.

Fact: This lottery ticket is worth 206.9 million US American dollars over a 30yr annuity.

Fact: This beautiful lottery ticket is worth $103.45 million in a lump sum payment.

Fact: $103.45 million = $103,450,000.00 and that is a lot of zeroes friends.

Fact: $103,450,000.00 will buy a fair number of Toyota parts, even at Dan's prices.

Fact: This wonderful lottery ticket was purchased at the gas station that was used to air up on Saturday afternoon in Espanola, New Mexico. You will note that this stop is the same day and time that said winning lottery ticket was purchased.

Fact: The person that purchased this winning lottery ticket has not claimed the $206M prize..... yet.

Speculation: The person holding the winning lottery ticket will share the joy with family, friends, and wheeling buddies.

Fact: It is a damn shame that we didn't have a larger turn-out for the run on Saturday.

Question: Where were you on Saturday?

That is all for now.

So what you are saying is that if we didn't attend the event on Saturday because some of us have to work we are complicit in being delinquent club members? Or waste my hard earned money on a 1 in a billion chance?

The odds are only 1 in 146,107,962 chance and the odds improve considerably when you are at the place they are selling the winning ticket and you are there on the same day and you are there at the same time. And the odds of winning are ZERO in a BILLION if you don't buy a ticket.

I call bull****.

Now now... such vulgar language. :D

It's all moot. None of us walked into that store.

Yea, but if one of us had walked into the store just before that guy and bought a quick pick, we might have gotten the numbers instead....

Did it occur to you to ask why I went to the other store and it took me 5 minutes longer to air up than it took you and Steve?

... and the dream goes on. :hmm:
