LOL! There are quite a few more pics. It just takes time to downsize them for uploading. Maybe I can post more pics this evening, and I hope to avoid redundancy. : )

Ali, I will be sure to post more pics of your rig! ; )

I haven't been downsizing them. mud automatically does it. are you putting them somewhere else and linking?

Has Mud always done that?

no, it's a more recent thing. I think I discovered it on accident when I forgot to reduce some pics.

This feature was discussed several years ago, as I recall. It was suggested that you down size them since there was a concern about the quality of MUD doing it. Either way, it has been a feature for some time.

Shawn,

What psi were you running? Sucks to lose a bead like that.

Shawn, the conclusion.

It all sounds like an accurate assessment of the day. Toyo Masters is going to look at that power steering problem tomorrow. In addition to aggressive 35's and 4.88's, my wishlist now includes an Inchworm or Marlin T-case. I am very happy with the OME rock rails!

Due to a friend's good advice, I will not add the crawler t-case and will just keep this as an overlander. A buggy (like Troutrunner's) would get me the real adrenaline rush I'm looking for. :bounce:

Good decision. It takes the pressure off. I love my cruiser for what it is and will still do, but it was never going to get the big stuff I wanted.

I'm lucky I stayed with a basic OME lift and 33's.

...What psi were you running? Sucks to lose a bead like that....

in those IROC biasplys I run about 5-8 psi. the problem was that Evan was pulling me on a strap. had done a left right jog and I couldn't do it because he would be pulling me sideways. so I short cutted the jog over some rocks. I was still being pulled somewhat sideways, and in the rocks it pushed the bead off.

that is the second time I've lost a bead with those tires. first time was in the Black Hills. may be time for beadlocks soon.:hhmm:

Either that, or somebody that's paying attention when they are pulling you over a pile of rocks sideways! We figured out AFTER Shawn popped the bead that we needed a shorter strap. Then we got even smarter and he swapped his dead fuel pump for a spare that Pappy brought. Or did he just fix the wiring on his own fuel pump. I'm not sure, but Shawn's truck was repaired and started running again. That was good, because I would have had a hard time dragging his dead 40 through the remainder of the rock gardens.

It was a fun day! Thanks to all who posted pics and videos.

Shawn figured out that his pumps were not getting juice. He hot wired the pumps directly to the battery to make things work.

at work the next day I found which fuse is for the fuel pumps. haven't had a chance to check it yet, but I'm sure that was the problem.

However it got off the beads, credit is due a bunch of folks, some ingenious and careful jack work and a big, wide ratchet strap for bringing Shawn's wadded up IROK back to life. When the bead popped the truck was in a bad place to be jacked up. It was a major relief to watch it reseat. Hi-Lift jacks are indispensable, but honestly they still scare the hell out of me sometimes.

fuse is not the problem, that is the result of something else screwing up most likely. Find it and your problem should be solved. Oh yeah, clean up that wiring while you're "in there" :flipoff2:
