Gotcha! I put mine directly over the OEM carpet. I have a layer of CCF and MLV for sound deading underneath that carpet so was suprised to see it rubbing. I'll probably just cut a 1/8 or 1/4" thick shim once I decide what I want to do to the tailgate, or once I see what you've got cooking up :)

FWIW, I used the same hardware on my long slide drawer. It is awesome hardware but man are those slides heavy! My other side drawer houses subwoofers so is only 26" deep and I used the medium duty Allegis slides, much lighter and a bit easier to mount. I've got no doubt I can stand in the long drawer and jump up and down on it!

Alright, I opened Hoser's attachments of my pics, loaded them to Imgur and put them in the posts. That was easy :bang:

The tailgate storage door is from Wagongear. Here a link to the install > https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/100-series-official-installation-instructions.601696/ It is one of my favorite mods. I do not know if Dave or Alex put it in - I think it was Alex and I think it was one of the prototypes. Perfect for storing extra fluids and rags, jumper cables and such. I like to keep lighter stuff in there so as not to overload the tailgate cables too badly.

I left my carpet under my box. hat gave it some cushion and raised it a quarter inch or so. As you can see in the pics, there is a bit of a gap below both pull outs so they do not hit the hinge on the Wagongear door.

1407 - hope you do not mind I about outright copied your build. When I get to Manila if anyone asks about my system I will point them to you ;)
But I am told I may have the only capable 100 over there! (At least with the club.)

Hey guys- just a sneak peek! A few more manufacturing issues have come up while putting this system together, but they are small and we are working through them. Hang in there! I am extremely pleased with the quality. You can judge for yourself, but I think these will be the bees knees...

Wow looks great! Will this work in the 80 without the side wings? Just the main drawers and the steel dividers? I am still hoping that you will have the main drawer system ready to go for the beginning of May. I can wait on the wings till later.

What about the color? Can you do a tan color that would match the tan interiors a little better?

Great job!

1407 - that looks awesome! Great use of the hinge for the cutting board/storage under the fridge. Really like that idea.

I won't show this to my grandpa, he was a shop teacher and the reason I got into woodworking and construction. He'd have a fit if he saw you using the tablesaw as your work bench :)

The 80 series mounting locations are different, I'm sure. Once I get the bugs worked out of this one, the 80 is next. I am also sampling some tan colors, as that will be an option. I don't think we'll make your May deadline, unfortunately. Even if you were able to order one right now, they are built to order... So very sorry. Maybe some tupperware to get you through?:)

Thanks. Yeah, the cutting board/shallow drawer part really turned out well.

And I agree with your grandfather- but until we finish our move, the table saw is the only option when it's pouring rain outside!

I love the cutting board design! Very nice engineering!

What did you end up making the cutting board out of?

Now that's a sweet design and execution. Very nice!

Thanks guys. The board is made from Richlite phenolic material. The same stuff used to make higher end cutting boards, pizza boards, solid surface counters, etc. I'm quite happy with it. With some care, it should last a good long while.

I'm in the market for some drawers right now. My use would be primarily as a storage / sleeping platform. Just looking for a pair side by side similar to the OS. I don't need the shelves, cargo barrier or kitchen/fridge slide. I would need some strong anchor points (L-track) across the top, preferably anchored into truck somehow and not just into the plywood top.

Not sure how they work, but the OS system uses the same drawers for the 80 and the 100 series, just different trim kits. It would be nice for your system to be compatible with both, as I am planning to move to a 100 after the 80.

Any idea on pricing and availability? I was seriously considering the AT drawers in birch, but like yours better, especially if comparable in price and designed for the 80/100 from the ground up and not a universal drawer system like the ATs.

sdnative the OS drawers are modular (same concept as AT drawers really, rectangular boxes). They come in a few lengths and a couple of heights. The mounting is via adjustable frame rails on the bottom of the drawers - they are open at the bottom. The fit kits bolt into the side of the drawers.

sdnative- I will be offering a two drawer model, but even without all the bells and whistles, they will be much more expensive than the AT plain birch drawers. Just to Line-x them costs almost what those drawers cost. I'd hate to lose any potential future customers, but if that's your budget the AT drawers may be a good option. I've not used them personally, but they look pretty straightforward and will serve you well, I'm sure.

No worries, I didn't realize the line-x was that expensive. The drawers look fantastic, and I would definitely be interested to see what you come up with for options and pricing. Are you still looking at the fall time frame to have something available for the 80?

Do you have a guess what a basic two drawer side by side would weigh? Seems like it would be similar to the ATs which are around 80lbs a side.

As everything has taken three times as long as expected, I am hesitant to talk about time frames. But, given how close we are on the 100 series system and the fact that modifying it for the 80 shouldn't be that much work, I think they will be ready way before the fall. As far as weight, that sounds to be in the ballpark.
