Does anyone know of a body shop that will paint after market parts? My snorkel needs a little finish work and paint.

Found a new Cruiser Head at work @vonford is a good dude that just got his truck back with a new bumper and suspension.

Anyone wanna run Naches Pass on the 29th? I know it is a Tuesday but being in retail its what I got. I need to confirm. Jus putting initial feelers out.

I would not take my LX through Naches. There is a pretty nasty, section where you run through an old creek bed. It's very narrow. The possibility of dragging your door across a root, or worse, flopping in your side is really high there. My $0.02

American Auto painting & body in Renton has never done work for me, but gave me a good quote on painting my Tacoma canopy before it was totaled. I know a few classic car guys in groups I participate in, that speak highly of them. Worth a call!

Correct, body damage is a very high possibility on the Naches. Great trail though.

There are sections so rutted and carved out that you're literally up to your window sills with limited options on picking lines. In the off camber areas you run the risk of slipping off your line on exposed roots and slamming sideways into the walls or trees. My 100 has a nice big fender divot from it.

There are also several log bridge crossings that can be a bit treacherous when wet.

For wide body vehicle like the 200, dry, the trail's about a 2+. Wet, and after a couple day's rain, it can easily be a 4. It's a wagon trail after all.

Breaking news Seattle area folks:

There is a dealership, Eastlake Auto Brokers, in our area who sells massive amounts of Land Cruisers, LX570s, and Toyota offroad vehicles in general. They claim to specialize in selling Land Cruisers. I learned from the tech at my local dealership, that it is known that Eastlake is a dishonest company. They take vehicles they purchase to Toyota, refuse recommended repairs, and sell these vehicles.

I am nearly 25k deep in repairs for a vehicle I purchased for 40k. Please don’t make the same mistake as me. I hate to talk down/bash a company, but want to look out for our local LC/LX community, before they purchase a vehicle that makes them hate the badge rather than the shop.

If this isn’t an appropriate comment/doesn’t belong here please let me know.

Nick @torfab said there were drive arounds on everything and it was pretty doable.

Nick is a legend, he was the only person I spoke to who has seen something like this before, and confident enough to tackle it. Unfortunately he’s booked till October, and the last one he did took some time. Definitely paying for convenience here, but would go to nick if I was in a better situation!

I really appreciated his help.

I bought my LC from them a few years back. Took it to my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection and it passed with flying colors. It had a good carfax history and was a southern owned vehicle. Has been a very reliable vehicle and with similar due diligence I would buy from them again.

I’m sure not every car they sell is a lemon, but learning this from a guy who has done so much work on their vehicles seals the deal for me. They have great google reviews, but their BBB is a D-. I’m happy you had a better experience than me!!!

@Bukker I didn't get a great vibe from Eastlake when I was shopping for my LC and it's a bummer to hear you're having a rough experience.

100% second the shout out to @torfab! They had my LC for a suspension install recently, and I had a great experience with Nick and team.

@raincityrider I was out a Naches a couple weeks ago, just on the through road / by-passes, and it looked like there was an "easy" way each section. I wasn't feeling confident enough to try the actual route without someone who knew it, but a very cool area. Timing unfortunately doesn't work for me, but would love to try some of the easier sections at some point in the future.

I bought my LC from Eastlake too and didn't get a great vibe from the owner either. His wife and staff were super nice and helpful tho. The car is doing well tho, no mechanical problems.

+1 for @torfab - I had them work on some electrical wiring issues and had good experience with them.

Which one of y'all have a white LX with dissent front bumper? I saw you on Factoria ave yesterday but was in my DD so had no cruiser cred to do the wave.

Nothing more embarrassing than accidentally doing the wave while not in the cruiser… I save myself by following with a thumbs up instead hahaha.

My other car is a motorcycle. It has its own cool factor.

Not a good place to buy. I test drive some of the vehicles as they do have a large selection of models and years, including some Tacos and even a FJ Cruiser. But the prices were high and the quality of vehicles sub-par. Did not purchase from them.

Looking for reco on undercoating for my truck. After 3 winters on snowy and salted roads there is a lot of rust starting to appear on welds. It had none before as it was a mall crawler and never saw snow.

I do pretty much all maintenance on my vehicles but this a very messy job I want someone else to do it, and do it well.
