Anyone know if there is a seat out there that will fit in the 60 series with no modification? Would an 80 series work?

Just my .02 worth:

I'm a comfort/support freak for varied reasons but mostly my back. I was in your shoes a while back - took the time to sit in many seats. And when I say sit, I mean like bring a book and stay seated more than 15 mins. In the end, I went with a set of BMW 3 series seats and haven't looked back. The install was incredibly easy - read some of my thread, you'll understand the gravity of that statement - using TorFab's seat brackets. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for - but again, just my .02 worth of opinion.

Search is the key my friend,Toyota 4runner seats also work great.

Rodeos and pt cruisers are small cars for small people. I am not one. I have too broad a shoulders for those kinds of seats. Guess I will just have to redo the foam on the seat. Anybody remember what type of glue I need to stick the layers of foam together? And dont say 3M. It's actual glue not just spray adhesive.

The Procar Elite is allegedly bolt in.

x2 on the BMW seats. Worth the $ for the brackets (think they were $120?). way better than stock, even if the stock were brand new.

1990 -1995 4Runner are good candidates have manual adjustments for lumbar, side bolster etc.

x3 on the BMW seats. Just installed the drivers side yesterday, made the brackets though in a few hours. Very easy if you have a welder and a cut off wheel. They are very comfy, and the raised sides kinda lock you into place which is nice.

What? They are marketed in the US, every size of person (fat) has to be able to fit in them.

Oh and I'd recommend 3M spray adhesive.

There are several grades of 3M spray adhesives -  Spray Adhesives

Try an upholstery shop

I've got a seat of '03 Corolla seats that have great foam and support. Not contoured for smaller people. They are a wider seat, back sections and bottom. They sit up higher than stock seats but about an inch and improve the view some. Very comfortable. They are light tan and in great condition. I took the OEM slides and cut of the mounts and bolted the mounts to custom made brackets. Once the custom brackets and mounts and on the seat bottoms, they mount to the original bolt jolts on the floor just likes I seats. PM me if you want me to send pics.

I will sell them for a song. I've got a wagongear seat box going in and they are too tall for the seat box geometry. Have gone back to OEM seats with new $OR replacement bottoms.

Marketed in the u.s. Means something? Have you ever sat in a Jetta? And I asked the question in the first place because the search function on this site is a joke.
