So @RUSH55 how is that Everlast welder working out for you?
My big machine is a PITA to move around and with the 100 amp service I have it's pretty much a stationary machine, I'm looking at one of the little Everlast machines to use as a portable machine or even replace Big Blue..
It’s working out great @J Mack !
TIG welded mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum with it. Also stick welded mild steel with some 7018.

I've had to build two stainless exhaust systems in the last two months and all the trips back and forth has me regretting giving away my small Blue machines, after looking at the price of new Blue I popped over and looked at the Green machines. Looks like you can get a lot of welder for about a fifth of the price.
I'll give them a call tomorrow and tell them to send me one one those Rush55 machines!!!

BLue multiprocess
I've only bought Blue and have had good luck with most of them.

15K for a Blue inverter version of my old 330 AMP transformer machine..

4K for a Green inverter version of my old 330 AMP transformer machine !!!

Green machines have a 5 year warranty so math tells me for the amount of welding I'm likely to with this even if I had to buy another in seven years I'm still money ahead.

Specs actually look good on the Green machine..

I'm 100% with you on buy local and buy USA but I don't believe the Millers are made in the USA and in fact I cant see if they are even assembled in the USA..

I'll know more tomorrow after a few phone calls....

Git whawt you pay for for. If its a lot of use the Booger from Chinee wont last 🧁s😘

I had bought the Miller Diversion 180 when I was working on the Target Carrier and a control board went out in my big machine, I hated it and gave it away after I fixed the old transformer machine.
A year or two ago I got a Miller Syncrowave 210 in some trading I was doing and hated it too..
I tried a buddies new'ish Dynasty that's all set up and it's a nice machine, if money was no object I would most likely just buy one of those and put the old Miller 330st Aircrafter welder out to pasture..

If you do decide to go blue, PM me what you're looking at and I will see if I can get you a better price through our vendor. We get pretty good deals on blue machines, we bought (4) of the Dynasty 300's last year for $2k below MSPR each.

This was july last year

Current price $11,600:

I will say, Miller seems to have had about a 100% price increase over the past 5 years, its hard to swallow. They have always stood behind their products for us zero questions asked.

Thank you @EWheeler that is a very cool offer, part of what makes me appreciate this place so much the people are so awesome here!!

If you get a chance to look at one of your new machines would you please look for a "Made in the USA" sticker? I'm looking on their site and I can't find it, my newest Blue machine I still own ( Invision 456P ) was new in 2011 and has "Made in the USA" on the front cover in big letters.

Sadly, the new Dynasty 300's are "Assembled in USA"...My 210 at home has a big Ol MADE IN USA sticker on it :(

Lots of online social media types rave about the Everlast units. I always take that feedback with a grain of salt, because most people will talk great about a machine they got for free which is paid for by the hype and the eyes of their followers. I suspect you'd be more than happy with the Everlast for the hobbyist work you're doing.

I RFQ'd that exact watercooled setup last year and I believe our price was around $13 or $13.5k. Sadly it appears that the quote was either deleted or I received a text quote from my supplier because I can't find the hard copy. I offered that brand new TIG setup in trade for a low hour 400 amp diesel engine driven welder that retails at about $25k now, but the guy was smart enough to know he was getting the short end of the stick in that deal.....

That was my assumption that the higher end machines were still assembled in the USA and everything else is import...

Well Bobby it's official I'm in the Booger Boi club..

Still waiting for the chiller that was backordered but I'll try it out with an air-cooled torch maybe later today or tomorrow...

How much $$$$💰 was Tariff 🤣🤣🤣🐖👈
With the Miller Machines also coming from the mother land I'm guessing all welders are going to get More expensive real soon..

I had spent some time on their website looking at the different models before I gave them a call, I decided to get something similar to Rush 55 but but when I went to order they were out of stock on the 230 amp machine and offered to sweeten the deal on the 330 amp machine so that's what I bought. I would say that anybody that is considering a Chinese Booger machine should give them a call and negotiate the deal, they seem very willing to keep throwing extras in if I would commit to buying right then and waiting for the back ordered parts.

Are there any deals to be had on getting a bottle for welding? Airgas was kind of expensive for 75/25, but I am new to this. Exceeding the cost of the welder on a bottle is hard to swallow!
I was given advice 42 years ago when I started buying welders for home use, buy your bottles don't rent, buy the biggest bottles you can stack on the back of your welder.
The long term savings over renting bottles is worth buying, I have several 330 cf bottles now and not having to drive to get them filled weekly was worth the extra cost when your working on a project.
Not to mention you will always run out of welding gas on the weekend when the welding store is closed.
I quick look on Amazon says a 125 cf 75/25 bottle is $370 so I'm guessing the best deals are going to be local market place and find someone selling their bottles. Get receipts showing they own them if the necks have a company name on them .

sometimes you can find used bottles on marketplace or craigslist, just make sure they are not in need of certification. Altho, the certification may still be less than a new bottle, depending on how much you need to spend to buy it in the first place. As for the gas itself, not too much to do about that. Plain CO2 works for basic stuff; I used it for years on plain hot/ cold rolled. The mix gas is nice tho, and necessary depending on the type of material. Shop around your area. there can be variances from one supplier to the next.

I also used plain CO2 for awhile and it worked fine.

Check with your local welding supply but mine will exchange bottles size for size..
So you could buy one of these oxygen bottles and exchange it for a CO2/argon of the same size for $100.00...
