Built a cart for the TIG welder out of some 2”x1” square tubing I got from a yard sale a while back

So after yesterday’s attempt at a bit of sheet metal work I realized I need more than a ballpein hammer and scrap steel to be effecitve.

Looking for any suggestions on the basic hammer/dolly to buy for future efforts.

Do I really need a full set or is there a good brand to look at?

Cheers

It seems like Martin is a reputable brand.
They’re distributed pretty broadly.

Now we are speaking my language everybody knows I like to hit stuff with hammers...

The set would be Part #647K Martin Tools..

I have several of most styles of body hammers and like I said above 99% of the time I grab the Martin #164G and the general purpose dolly.
I read the newer hammers need the face smoothed out and polished before you use them but I haven't bought a new hammer in 30 years so I don't know that as fact. FYI: I keep my go-to hammers smooth and polished anyway so wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if the new ones needed a little touch-up.

How are you liking that Everlast after getting to use it for awhile now?
I've been seeing them in the background at a few fab shops now.
So far it’s been pretty great. It’s got more functions than I even understand. Learning more about them every time I use it, but don’t break it out to practice nearly as often as I’d like to.

The guys over at CJRC use the Everlast and they are welding exotic metals almost exclusively, I'm sure that machine must have a function button for about everything.
Checkout their Youtube channel too if you get time.
