I'm going to ditch the hard top and just build a full cage and put a bikini top on. It came with two sets of doors so I will chop the crusty set and make half doors. I'll sell the other set of doors and the hardtop stuff. I just want a fair weather toy. More pictures as soon as I get all the garbage out of it.....lots of beer cans and bottles

Must have had a going away party:beer:

Great find. Please update this thread as you move forward. Whatever you do with it will beat having it sink further into the ground!

You actually got a bad deal at $750.00, so I'll bail you out at $750.00 so you'll have no loss.
What's really nice is that it came with a complete disc brake front axle with long body locking hubs. My 76 has miss matched locking hubs so I will swap them, then go to the shorter outer axles and short bodu hubs.

I hope I may be able to salvage the 1.5f. I don't want a bunch of power to just start breaking things with.

Spoken like a true FJ40 owner! If you drove a '74 Chevy Blazer, such words would NEVER come out of your mouth.

Sell the hardtop for $750. And then u are into a cruiser for $0. can’t get a much better deal than that !!!

I call score.....

hide Your wallet and focus on picking up real cheap parts over the long haul from friends and swap meets etc. to keep it a budget build. Taking your time and doing it as cheap parts make themselves available will make this a steal!!!
