I got the same problem with passenger bracket from Scat..They got that bracket wrong...Somebody need to let them know I guess..

For a rear bench seat, get one from a heep. They fit between the fender wells nicely. Some people even build a box under the heep seat with a tilt up lid and fasten the seat to the lid.
Where did you get the seat brackets, they look new? Who did you buy the tuffy through? I have looked at a couple of set ups for my 78 but I want a bench seat in the back not the old jump seats. Any suggestions? Oh, and most of my mounting brackets are trash so I need a complete set.

This is good to know - I've been eyeing up Scat/Procar seats for a while now. Someone let them know before I order them so they can get it right for me!! ;)

FWIW - I have the Procar Rally seats in my '77 and used the #81618 & #81619 Procar brackets. I did have to waller-out the passenger side, front right two holes a bit. Hence the large fender washers.

I'm looking at the Procar 90 for the more retro vibe - but I suspect they use the same brackets.

The Procar stuff is available all over. Summit has them and their prices might trump CC)T by a little: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/

Well, that link...summit must have joined with a wider net scope or something, so just go to Summit Racing.

Hey all,

I'm reviving this thread - My question: For the seat belt attachment brackets on either side of the adapters - what size bolt is it? Seems like it might be 7/16 or 11mm? I'm not sure 11mm bolts exist but 10mm is too small and 12mm is too big. Everything else on the setup was metric though... I thought I read somewhere that DOT requires a 7/16 bolt for seat belt installation...

Anyone remember what they used?

FYI: I got my ProCar 90's and the Procar adapter brackets installed today. Had a bit of issue with the passenger size as well but managed to get them in without boring out any holes. that said it took a LOT of clamping force to line up the passenger rear-center bolt hole.

And yes, I scratched it.

FJ40Jim has commented on this and has a good explanation. I am pretty sure they were 11mm bolts. I think it’s common for people to use 7/16” bolts. I did until I found my OEM 11mm bolts.

Yeah, I noticed I had an oddball bolt on one corner of each roll bar. I will likely use grade 8 7/16 bolts as finding an 11mmx1.25 pitch class 10.9 (or even 8.8) bolt is like hunting a unicorn.
