I just bought a scangauge II for my 95 obdII fzj80 and spoke to a lady at linear logics and sent me the below info. Has anyone tried these codes and do they work?

Matt,

Below are the XGauge codes for transmission temperature for 2003 and older Toyota’s.

2003 and older? Yea!
Can she tell us where all those ATF sensors are located?

I don't think there is a tranny temp sensor connected to OBD2, just one for the dummy light.

Scan gauge Trans temp works only on the 100 series up to 2003 and not the 80
The 80 series also reads actual trans temp so it know when it is warm enough to go into OD
I can read actual trans temp on post 2003 with Tech Stream software

I would very surprised if she could. The few times I have been at Scan Gauge she had pink hair, tats, piercing, tight ass levis with holes and never wears shoes but very nice, young, and fun to watch bounce around.

So it's possible then if it reads actual transmission temp.

The trans temp does go into the computer. But only the transmission side. Don't know if it does anything. maybe changes shift tables with a temp offset?
