I got scammed thru Ih8mud and PayPal! I was an idiot to let this happen!
I found some vintage jacks for sale in a post that was a year old, but didn’t say SOLD so I asked if they were still available and said I PM’d the seller. PM said “are any of these jacks still available?”
Then I get a text from 656-231-9385:
After that I didn’t get tracking info and scammer wouldn’t respond so I posted on the original sale add and finally got a response from seller to verify it was not him who I sent 200$ to so we spoke on the phone, he said he’s not active on mud and was out of the country at the time. my wife researched the text # and verified it was a scammer # and I realized all the red flags and my mistakes! OP agreed to post his adds as “SOLD”.
We are working with PayPal and our bank to try recover the funds but it’s so Frustrating!
DONT BUY STUFF WITH PAYPAL FRIENDS +FAMILY! Or Zelle!
Unless you actually know the seller!
I don’t want anyone else on mud to be taken advantage of and have their identity or $ stolen!
