Ok, it has been SOOOOOO nice outside here, and since I was going to have to take the top off to restore it and underneath it eventually, I decided to take the top off on Sunday. Why wait, huh? :p It took me 38 minutes from start to finish. I was kind of surprised to find that the soft top twist-lock holes were there, but maybe they are in all of them from the factory??? I will be replacing all of the rubber and bolts when I put it back on some time. Here are before and after pictures. I also finished the water pump set up and painted the fan that pretty pretty orange. :D

That cruiser just keeps on getting nicer, with no top non the less...and we still have lots, and lots of snow :frown:

Any updates on this rig? I have really enjoyed this thread as i recently purchased a 67 myself- The Zincrom Primer is a great find!

Dusty and I were talking about CeeJay a few months ago. We're both curious too.

Love the FJ! I picked up my rust and dent free '67 for $750, but it doesn't run. I'm doing a resto mod, so if theres anything that you need, shoot me a PM and i'll let you know if I have it and dont need it. keep us posted and enjoy the weather, we have the same here in TX so my jeep is topless

I'm still alive guys! sorry it has been so long. I have not been doing much work on Winston lately, but may get back into the swing of things soon. I am going to powdercoat a few of the "silver/gray" parts to keep them looking good for YEARS to come. The one thing that i am in DESPERATE need of is a good steering wheel for this '67. If you have one, HELP! i will pay good money for a really nice one. Hope you are all well. I'll check in soon. CJ

Looks good! My 66 has a cracked steering wheel that I will be keeping, so I'm no help there. Keep posting and keep fixing!
