They were the people we met at the 2nd stop . They were together with the Jeep. They were with us for a while, and decided to leave us at the end. They were ahead of us at the beginning, I don't know how they got into the middle of the pack.

they had no clue how to read the book - they asked us once, and then passed us when we had lunch, and then waited for us at the next intersection
Michael and I had offered that they could follow us, but instead of introducing themselves, they simply drove into the group and stayed there until we waved them through at the end - strange
and yeah, the sticker on the rear window of the Jeep read: "no pavement - no problem"
