Was a pleasure Al to get to know you on and off the trails.Big thanks to all the organizers. This was my first SAS; had a great time and am looking forward to next year with a "small" list of upgrades already!
Also, thank you to our trail lead, @OlYellr who put up with our crew all week and did an awesome job making us feel welcome.
For those of you I ran trails with - thanks for a great week! @Plains Cruiser @solomrus @Ditcherman, @RevISK plus Bruno, Frank, George and Mo.

Oh yeah I am sure that won’t be an issue. Let’s not wait to do this deal though!Only if my friends up north promise to make me another one
I have 3 at home. The Toyota community is like no other !!
That being said IMO if you drive a SA Toyota you shouldn’t leave home without a 54mm hub socket !
Just saying![]()
Allan, thanks for letting me know about my coolant leak. Every t-bolt clamp had come loose and it looks like the nylon in my locknuts melted, which is not surprising. I was very close to losing a lower hose. I will replace the hardware with something different when I get home.
@Land Shark
@DangerNoodle was hoping to catch up with you before we all dispersed. Caught the same moonrise over Imogene!! (I am far less of a photographer though.Mineral/Cinnamon to Animas forks visit, out to 149, dispersed camping somewhere north of hermit lakes, west of Creed, by some huge bluffs. Going to check out Pool Table and Wheeler tomorrow then head for the flatlands.
Thanks so much for your support, Rob. We couldn't do it without the support of all of our great sponsors and registrants. We very much enjoyed having you all there, and hope to see you again next year! And you're right, the coolers were most definitely a hit!Thank you to the organizers and staff and volunteers who put this event on! Had a blast once again, always sad when I have to leave to get home. Made it yesterday afternoon after 2000+ miles. Hats off to all that drive their rigs out and back, if only I lived closer. lol There are still tons of trails to explore and people to meet. I met some new people this year and caught up with some old ones. Good times.
I would also like to thank the person who put the mustard FJ43 Hot Wheels on my hood during the photo shoot. I love the mustard! I meant to say something at the raffle, but forgot.
Also, whomever won the Fall Crawl event ticket, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
For all those who received coolers, ENJOY! They seemed to be a big hit this year. AND thank you to the gentlemen behind me who won the auction for the first one, The money will really help Ouray Mountain Recue, and hope to help save a life one day.
And not but not lease, I hope it was more than just me that got to see that great Lightning storm while driving along I70 east in eastern Colorado and west Kansas. We looked at if for almost an hour before we caught it and had to drive through the tail end.
Rob
I heard near 10k…but I have no idea officially what was raised.Any idea what the total is we raised for Ouray Mountain Rescue? I think this year was extra apparent how important of an organization they are.
I’m sorry called you Karl.Chilling in Morrison after some needed maintenance, final stretch home on Thursday.
My wheel bearing on the P side was loose, my clutch fluid was roasted, my air filter was filthy and most of my interior was dropping screws. A new air filter, a fluid flush and some time behind some tools and I’m good to go.
Thank you to everyone who made SAS possible and enjoyable. Dan said there is something very special about this event and he is not wrong.
I look forward to many more friends made and trails explored.
My family really enjoyed it and that means the world to me.
Thank you again everyone!

I hope we can still be friends.

They're a bit awkward in most compact tool rolls/bags, but you can set them over the top of the jack in the factory spot and you lose no room!
They fit nicely over the factory jack. Takes up little space that way.
I’ll throw my extras over my jacks then.Great minds

2,642 miles and SAS9 is a wrap for us.
I'll get some pictures up later.
Thanks again to everyone who made this event possible. We had a great time. Second guessing leaving Colorado though with this humidity - and it really isn't that bad today.
The best way to make sure you never need them on the road - and to ensure you forget where you put them when you're in the shop looking for oneI’ll throw my extras over my jacks then.
