In that back loop area was where most of the SASers were before we got first dibs on the whole place. I just know I felt like we weren’t part of the event very much where we were last time. In fact our trucks missed the picture on Wednesday evening because of it.

IMO where your at in the campground has nothing to do with being in the group picture !

Plenty of communication on the goings on and picture day. These guys/gals do a great job. It’s a lot.

The whole camp ground is great. It’s all what you make of it. Walking around and dropping in on the various camps is how I’ve met a lot of great people and part of the fun.

It does if it’s your first time and you aren’t aware when and where it’s happening. In hindsight we should’ve asked when and where. I naïvely thought it would be way more obvious and/or someone would’ve given us a heads up. I use the picture just as an obvious example of all of the unknown shenanigans we missed out on.

There’s plenty of shenanigans…just gotta poke around 😉

That was not our experience. I’m not saying anyone has done a bad job, but it is a lot. I know Casey and Jimmy very well and I know that it is an absolute ton of work to get this thing going every year. It is my opinion that the layout of the entire facility doesn’t necessarily facilitate mingling and socializing. And that’s fine. It gives folks the choice of how social they want to be or not. Where we were left a lot to be desired on the socializing part.

We had to get in our rigs and go to the other side of the park to see what was happening everyday, sometimes more than once or twice.

Not trying to be a stick in the mud or anything, just think folks should be aware.

I get what you’re saying. My first campsite was by the office then I quickly moved over closer to the “action” and enjoyed it more.

This year I’m close but removed as I have my family and want the option to be amongst but allow my wife the option for space and quiet.

The park is not that big. It’s what you make it. Walking around and meeting other Cruiser Heads is what it’s all about.

I’m okay where I am, but do I need Texas plates to access the back portion of the camp?
Apparently not. There’s allegedly a KC contingent next to us.

This Is exactly why I'm a short walk away.

Certainly, but there’s a difference between walking between the campsites where the group is and having to hop in your rig to make it what you want and meet more cruiserheads.

We can get you golf cart:rofl:😝🤪
In my experience there's Cruiser Heads throughout the park.

Nah, my rig did just fine. Turns out it can do shuttle service duty and mountain trails.

For sure, but most are/were in the back loop… And we’ve made the circuit back to my original point.

@KennyBob all jokes aside sounds like you’ve solved your problem and will be right in the thick of it.

We’ll have the smokers going, Blantons if that’s your thing and generally good music…the Texans will tell us all how their BBQ is better, yadda, yadda…🤣😂
