Given what the J stands for in FJ40, "thanks" is technically the only right answer. : )
Yessir! Back today for more tacos!

I don't know if i buy the story of the J meaning j**p
It’s pretty well documented. Willy’s threatened to sue Toyota over the use of the word that shall not be said. That’s when Land Cruiser became the name.

@cruiserdan would know for sure.

"JEEP" was trademarked by Willys. Toyota handed off their version of a "JEEP'' to the US Army Procurement office. Toyota called it a "JEEP" because that's what the Army called it when they asked for a version to be produced. When Willys objected the name was Changed to Land Cruiser.
Ironically Land Cruiser was also a "recycled" name. Studebaker to be precise.

I can't wait to tell some one "nice Studebaker" haha Thanks for the history lesson I never heard the Studebaker part before

My 40 left the garage for the first time since the stretch. Drives good. I can feel the weight of the hard top. Still a lot of little things but it is moving again.

5 weeks! No problem....

Got the “dive into unknown T stat territory and flush the green out” all done. Was the last real baseline thing needed on this truck that has been in possession for a couple years?

I’d rather do a knuckle job than dive into an unknown thermostat job.

1 try on one, 6 tries and a fail on the other. If you know you know…

5 weeks sounds longer than 31 days, when I hit the road. I have a calendar in the shop and cross off the days, been doing that since Jan 1.
Interesting you feel the hard top. Any idea what it weighs overall?

Just got back from the Rubithon event.
The Cruiser took a beating and shrugged it off like it was a daily event😜

Dang.
Looks fun.
Rubithon scares me. Went as a wee kid to part of the run and I remember being certain we were going to flip over.
The trail is not

to be taken lightly.
That being said I was with an invitation only run with Guys from the Rising Sun four-wheel-drive club and we were hitting some of the even harder side obstacles.
