The Rigid replacement headlights are cheap, but the performance is really good.
The quantity of light, and it being lensed into a proper beam
I am checking those out now. Thanks for the tip.
Mill scale?!? How did I miss that? You mean to tell me that's made of peasant grade hot-rolled steel? Not billet? Shame...
Jeremiah would never suspect a problem if one applies a bead of weld across the inner portion of angle iron and grinds the angle off from the backside, then grinds it down smoothly to match DJ’s precision work. Hit this with a 4130 chromemoly welding rod and it is automatically a billet piece.

That should've said "aren't" cheap. I just looked in a couple of different places and couldn't find the exact light that I have in my 80.

LED lights don't create much heat. So you if you're in freezing rain, or snow, a build up of ice can occur, which can be a hassle.
The ones I bought have a heated lens to counter that, but I don't see them anywhere but out of stock on Amazon.

Great info. I didn’t think about ice build up and LEDs, which is something to consider for those icy mountain pass adventurers. I do drive mine on the road as it seems that you do. They are way too fun to drive to pull behind on a trailer so good lighting is important to me.

🚨 This guy is PUMPED for SAS9! 🚨

Who’s ready to join the fun? 🙌

Apologies for flying under the radar this year, but things have been non-stop here at the campground! We’ve been gearing up for an epic event, and trust me, it’s going to be worth the wait.

💥 Big News: The ENTIRE campground is officially reserved for SAS9! 💥 If you all snag every single site, this will be one unforgettable party. Who’s ready to make it happen? I might even take the week off to hit the trails myself—can’t resist all the excitement!

🗂 A Huge Thanks to your amazing leadership team for the attendee list—this has made our planning so much smoother. We’re calling everyone in the order they registered, so hang tight if you haven’t heard from us yet. We’re working through the list as fast as we can. Just a heads-up: please don’t call and leave messages at the KOA—we’ll only be returning calls to those we’ve already contacted.

Once we’ve gone through the SAS9 registered members, we’ll open up any remaining sites to everyone else until April 1.

🎉 For those who didn’t register for SAS9—don’t worry! There’s still a chance to join the fun. I’ll let you know when we open up bookings for the rest of the week.

Let’s make this the best SAS9 yet! Who’s ready for an unforgettable adventure? 🙌

Thanks Jeff!
I am so happy to be working with you and for making the campground even more comfortable for our event.
This is only getting better and better!
Looking forward to our August vacation!

Makes me wonder if we should just pool funds to buy out any remaining sites.

Do folks generally leave Friday morning or are there guided trail runs planned for Friday?
Friday emptied out last year but to be fair there were gnarly storms forecast so…🤷🏽

There will be organized runs Monday- Friday. Since we do the group photo and raffle on Wednesday afternoon we reccomend an easy day or just hanging out in Ouray.
Most of us leave on Saturday morning.

I sense a scalping opportunity. 🤣
I sense an overrun of our already busy week. Maybe someone else would like to have another week and do all the planning. This sounds like a better plan to me.

Are you calling from a 970 area code?
My phone thinks it’s smart and seems to not ring if it thinks it’s spam, won’t even let it go to voicemail.

I assume we can call you back or you’ll leave a message?

This looks like a great bit of organization, really appreciate it.

The after party retreat. 😅
