Finally got around to having my shop do some work on my '99! Had upper and lower ball joints replaced, 4 KYB shocks installed, rear 866 coils, coolant flush (had green coolant), plugs and Toyota serpentine belt put on.

Drives so much better now! Also, measured center hub to fender and I'm 23 rear and 22 front. I was hoping to get to .5 difference but there's no more movement from my TB without re-indexing.

Was thinking of throwing some 10mm or 15mm spacers up front to get it as close to level as possible with still keeping a small amount of rake. Anyone using these??

They are OEM UCA; and I was thinking about 2865 which wouldn't have brought me up so much in the rear but the last time I had 2865 you couldn't even tell it was lifted. The 2866 gave me a slightly higher lift with a stiffer spring. But now I'm a wee bit stink bug.

Did you think about replacing the control arm bushings too? I replaced all 4 ball joints with Sankei 555 and OEM Tie rod ends. I even replaced the sway bar links. Now, I hear a faint clunk sometimes from the right front corner and am wondering if it's time to replace the bushings as well

I only replaced the upper and lower ball joints yesterday, although I do have 555 tie rod ends and also new axles to put in next. No noise coming from mine.

how do you use spacers with torsion bars? Are we talking body lift?
I don't think he knows....

@WarWagon there is no way to use spacers on the front end suspension to achieve lift. You can use spacers to achieve body lift, or lift in the rear with spacers above the coils

The 865s will give a stock-weight vehicle a measurement in the rear from hub to fender of about 23". I have them in mine right now as the slightly lower option (given weight) vs my pair of Tough Dog gold coils. I'll swap the golds in after bumper or drawers.

To clarify, there are no springs or spacers for the suspension in the front. The way to achieve lift in front is solely by cranking the torsion bars. Body lift spacers are a different animal and (correct me if I'm wrong, it did happen once..) I don't believe OP is looking to go that direction.

Yeah got that.....not sure what I was thinking. My last 100 I re-indexed the bars. I've only owned three of these

You're right....I don't want to do a body lift. I guess I'm just going to bite the bullet again and re-index the bars. I would like to get a .5 difference in front and rear. That's about what I had on my last 100. Right now it just seems a little too stinkbug. But I like the stiffer spring in the 866 so I want to keep that.

Torsion bars ARE springs ;)

Spoke to my mechanic and I'm just gonna go ahead and re-index. I have a winch at the house that I plan to match up with a TJM bumper so I might as well do it now.

Can you just crank the TBs a bit without re-indexing?

22" is plenty especially on stock KYB shocks and stock UCA- what are your droop measurements?
