You may want to reconsider the nylock nut option. When I did mine, tightning 90something bolts sucked, I was also in a time cruch. I went with the 3/8ths impact to snug them down, if you do this with nylocks you wont get them apart again. Check out Fastenall for removable locking nuts. Also, run a BIG bead of clear sylicone around the rim side of the locks, this will help alot with the seating of the tire against the rim on the inside. I think the anti coning rings are a joke, totlay depens on what tire your running, my 38's dont leak and havent had a problem at all without them.

I welded mine with my mig, mainly because its faster  But after seeing your welds, I would have cranked up the welder a bit more since you were using fluxcore. Also shifting more to the rim side for more penetration on it. I always like to run more heat with the flux core, helps prevent porosity from happening a bit more. I give it an %80, could be better, but will work fine :D

Camcruiser13,
It has been almost two years now...... Have they leaked anymore than the usual 1 lb a month??

Thanks and i dig them!

no

actually only one has shown loss of air as it has been sitting for a couple months but thats way better than i had hoped. it doesnt lose more than a pound or so a month the others are rockin strong. very impressive.

they have held up to the wheeling well. i need to post some more pics

top notch product. and thanks for your asking. let me know if you decide to do em i can help

Pics please! I'm thinking of throwing a set on myself before Cruise Moab, and have the same tires. I'd like to see what they look like. Did you take them to a shop to the tires on/off?

It appears that I never finished the thread. Sorry to all those that wanted pics. My bad

Ruff stuff is worth buying for the customer service alone. I do despise the number of bolts though. I get mine at fastenal. It's a lot cheaper than ACE.

Plain black rings for me, on 60 series rims. I would never recommend that. Too many layers to grind through to get to steel. Any chrome, nickel or copper left and the weld will pinhole and leak.

I went from three leaking flat every few days to loosing a couple of pounds a month with Slime. Not the greatest solution, but it works.

was it hard to mount the tire on a reversed mount rim. i just welded my bealocks on similar rims and have been told it will be very hard to mount tires.
