Yup. Prayers and thoughts go out to all involved.. personally know couple people who had to leave. You guys picked a good time to go. I hear they’re evacuating Tahoe now
Love them 1st gen tacomas.
I was just wondering about and your bumper as well? Is that a custom build?Great photos and write up as always @kreiten. I’m curious about the swing outs on GoldieHahn. Do those heim joints work, squeak, bounce around, etc? I’ve not seen a swing out setup like that before.
It's just heartbreaking watching the news and talking to friends that had to leave their houses and most of their belongings etc... We had been on the trail for a couple days and camping at Rubicon Springs when the Rangers approached us looking for the Camp Host. We told them he had walked down the road a bit and was there anything we could help them with? They then told us that the Caldor fire had spread from 11,000 acres to 33,000 acres in one hour and they were pulling out. At that point we packed up camp and rolled off the trail late that night.. Just heartbreaking watching the news and chatting with my friends.. Praying for the firefighters on the front line, South Lake Tahoe and all the families! You guys picked a good time to go. I hear they’re evacuating Tahoe now
Thanks for the props on the pics! Rear bumper has taken an absolute beating over the past year and is holding up well. The swingouts work great, wish they had a lock in place mechanism, but other than that no complaints. As the bumper takes hit after hit on the Rubicon you can see in one of the pics the latch is partial undone. A quick tightening of the bolts and the latch was good to go and held well! The bumper does not make much noise and I have been very happy with it, Coastal Offroad did a great job on it IMO... My Brother also rocks the Coastal and is happy with his as well...Great photos and write up as always @kreiten. I’m curious about the swing outs on GoldieHahn. Do those heim joints work, squeak, bounce around, etc? I’ve not seen a swing out setup like that before.
