Great info and context guys. Thank you.

And keep those pics coming so we can live vicarious through y'all.

Definitely nice seeing y’all put the land cruisers through the Rubicon. It’s an insane crazy trail.
Thx for sharing. If y’all got vids post them up!

I can't believe y'all let @Canyonero play in that FCA crapbox! Lol, I'm just giving you a hard time, it is the only vehicle out there with the trails namesake plastered down the side lol. My father just randomly picked up a Gladiator Rubicon and I'll admit that I am kind of excited to help him build it out. Any plans to get back into a Toyota/Lexus product in the future?
Lol, that FCA crapbox has not let me down yet! Believe it or not, The rubicon was trail #65 for that crapbox in over two years. Maybe FCA figured out reliability? Time will tell, but I’ve had no issues and I’ve wheeled it hard. I expected it to be trash, it has been anything but.

I’m open to getting back into a Toyota/Lexus product in the future, but it’s hard to justify putting so much money into a rig when I can just buy a Jeep off the shelf and do the same (and more) trails. The 200 community is the biggest draw for me. Awesome people. I’m looking at 80s and also the new LX600 so I can stay in the club 😂. Resale on Jeep Rubicons is insane so I think I will do ok if I sell the Heep.

By the time this crew does the Rubicon next year, it will have become too easy. Run it at night; heck, I already look forward to @kreiten photos of a night run on the Rubicon.

lol, not sure the Rubicon will ever be easier🤪 It's a brutal trail that is relentless and the obstacles just keep coming. That being said I have more fun on the Rubicon than any other trail I have ever run!!! We ran the last 3rd of the trail at night this year, was def more difficult. Also the Rubicon changes a bit from year to year, so you get some obstacles that have new twists on them etc... The biggest thing that atleast will appear to make the trail easier is that you learn how to equip your rig for the trail and that you build an awesome team that works great together! I can honestly say we captured a lot of magic in this years trip, was just something special with the team and convoy! Can't wait to do it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My older Brother Rob and his son Robbie, what a cool experience for them on the Rubicon together, both of their first times...

80 or LX600 would be awesome man!!! I know the 80 would be better for Rubicon but damn I would love to see you build an LX600 into a beast, and maybe, just maybe run Rubicon with it!!!

Yea they have definitely gotten better over the years and even more advanced under FCA. My last one was a 2012 and that was the first year of the 3.6L and the nightmarish Mexico machined heads, needless to say it ended up getting bought back under Lemon Law. I took my 2007 JKUR on 37's to Alaska and back from Texas in 2010 without much issue (drive shaft u-joint failure) and I had a few others prior to it that saw Fordyce, Moab, Moon Rocks and a few other notable trails over the years. I definitely had more trust in their capabilities on the technical stuff than I have had with my Toyota's but I've also cut way back on the carnage seeking that I once used to embrace lol. I envy their ability to tackle most anything you throw at them and the aftermarket is endless. I look forward to seeing where my father takes his and what mods he decides to put on it as he builds it. I could possibly justify one if its sole purpose was for off-road use, maybe in the future?!

I know after last years run some people were saying "maybe the 200 is not the right platform for the Rubicon etc"... I think Kamal disproved that this year! He lead the entire trail in his 200, his rig crushed the Rubicon taking no body damage at all! His plan original was to run the entire trail with no lockers, and I believe with the exception of a couple of spots he did this. The 200 is a beast and when equipped right and with a good driver behind the wheel it can def take the Rubicon down, just my 2 cents.. I have spent so much time and effort into my 100 build for Rubicon the 200 has taking a little bit of a backseat as far as mods go, so until I get full skids and lockers it will not get a crack at the Rubicon. That being said those are on my list of upcoming mods so one of these years it will run the Rubicon!!!
How did the 100 do? It looks stout as heck.

The 100s rocked it! Both wore on 35 and I think they actually had a little bit of an advantage due to lighter weight and may be a little narrower. That Land Cruiser golden ratio of a 112 inch wheelbase really shined on the trail. I think it would be a tough haul with less than 35” inch tires on any Land Cruiser.

I was very happy with my rigs performance this year, it's a tough trail and 100's are big Beast, but she never let me down! We added 4.88's and 25% TCase reduction gears for this years run, awesome mod, can't wait to go back next year to give GoldieHahn another notch in her belt!
