RTH - LBJ not releasing the knuckle (1 Viewer)

Separation anxiety, plain old bad attitude, not sure why but LBJ is just not releasing the knuckle. Have burned through all my propane, broken a ball joint separator tool, then a second. Am about to resort to dropping a non-running project car on the thing with some leverage. Have a new LCA in the 200 and would really love to not have to reinstall a shot one.

Any other brilliant ideas?

Maybe it’s called the pivot? The block where the LBJ and the steering knuckle interface.

BG Automotive in Fort Collins clutched up. Went to panic stations, dropped the project car on the BJ, no dice, third ball joint kit broken, ditched propane and upgraded to MAP gas, two cans, nothing. BG had the thing sorted in 10 minutes.

FWIW, this mount is out of stock in this country. Got pretty close to hopping on a plane.

Good name, works for me.

Called around and nobody in the country has one, and only RHs on eBay lol. Would have gladly slapped a new one on after that. Hoping tomorrow is just threading bolts now.

Oops. Yeah, that’s the right hand part number. Left is 48626-60020 (for anyone else coming along to this thread in the future)
