Just started road trip from CO to AZ and going through mountains. As we're accelerating uphill there seems to be a much louder and higher-pitched whine coming from engine area.

There's no clunking or hard mechanical sounds and seems to be performing ok. Engine and oil temps are fine. PWR mode is not on.

Anything specific I should be looking at or concerned about?

Well s***. Stopped at gas station to check codes, gave some throttle and entire radiator fan exploded and took out coolant reservoir.

Powie!!

Pretty impressive. Hopefully no other damage.🤞

I see the radiator has been replaced. Any chance that work damaged the fan blades? If pieces were beginning to break off or crack, it could have caused the whining noise prior to failure?

My guess is fan clutch or support bearing.

Glad it didn’t nuke the radiator.. though it should still be checked thoroughly.

Sorry to see/hear this, hopefully you’re able to find a solution to continue your trip and get the rig sorted! Safe travels out there
