I really liked the way my buddy's BJ70 looked with the roundeyes.com upgrade so I went online and ordered me up a pair.. They are priced great at $99 shipped and the quality is outstanding. The glass lens is top quality and the reflectors look to be well designed. Highly recommended and a half bannana (easy) to install.

They do look good, I guess you have an upgraded harness as well?

i have decided that this would be the headlights to replace the original koito headlamps, will order mine as soon i get back from my overseas trip, sad to say can't drive my fj on the ocean, instead a crwded 747 boeing, lol.:)

Dave, those look good. Great looking rig. What's the lock to...above your fairlead ?

John

Yes, I do know. Just thought it would be a good idea for David to give a formal intro to us at ih8mud!

I already don't like him!!! :D The Princess was supposed to be mine :crybaby::crybaby:

No, I did not upgrade the harness, but the lights shine really bright on the stock one.

The lock is for the axe/shovel holder that's mounted above the fairlead.

Intro? What kinda of intro do you need? :flipoff2: I've been on mud for years mostly on the 80 Series and Trailer sections of MUD. I have owned two FZJ80's in the past and really love them, but have always yearned for a diesel land cruiser. Last month everything clicked into place (sold house and '93 FZJ80) giving me the chance to buy the Princess:princess: from my friend Henry.

I'm still getting used to her. She's tempermental and has a couple of things I need to address, but is one really cool cruiser.

That's good enough for me!

david if you decide to black out your grill and bezels, let me know. I'll trade you mine + some cash. The finish of mine is not as good and would be better suited to be be stripped and repainted... :D

nice mod, yet another one to add to my list

Thanks, mine's pretty dull and not in perfect shape, but will keep you in mind if I do decide to go black.

So the lens is not glass? I assume that you are using the bulbs that came with the "roundeyes", that are street legal? If I was to step up to a higher wattage bulb (like they sell) what is the largest that I can go without changing the headlight wire harness? Even with the bulb that they supply, is it a night and day difference between "roundeyes" and the stock sealed beams? What are the general reviews of the "roundeyes" products? Should I go with a higer wattage bulb?

Thanks,
Zack

I use in my Tencha for a year or so H4 Bosch 100/90 with the stock light harness without problems.

Well I guess my concern with the higher wattage bulbs is that I would burn up the stock wire harness. So I guess that with the higher wattage bulbs and the stock harness you just lose some light power but it is not harming anything on the truck?

Thanks,
Zack

Here are the specs off of their site.

- 60% brighter than conventional sealed beam headlamps
- H4 60/55 watt bulbs are replaceable
- Die-cast aluminum housing with a complex multi surface reflector that produces a wider beam pattern
- Unbreakable clear polycarbonate lens
- Gortex® breather allows heat to escape while keeping moisture out of the lamp assembly
- Lamp assembly can handle off road bulbs up to 130 watts
- Easy drop fit installation with no additional wiring needed
