Thanks for the votes there guys,I am looking at buying a star soon so that I can post some before and during pictures to share with everyone.

i cant stop looking at this thread over and over, need more pics, its like a drug i cant get enough of

What can I say?It was one of those last little details along with sourcing out a new OEM shift knob that I just never got around to doing. I will fix it before spring time though. Thanx to everyone for the comments/compliments!

Nice ,but too square IMO

Why can't they make aluminum a bit rounder. Everything is square, not too keen on it.

I am not quite sure what you are referring to as too square. The majority of the curves on a Cruiser are found on the front fenders, the hood and the cowl. The hood is OEM and the fenders/cowl are as close to the OEM pieces as possible. Now that I am employed by Aqualu I can say that the only feedback that I hear on the cowls is the fact that our units have one less louvre per side. Maybe you are talking about the elevation changes in the floor and tranny tunnel areas which are sharper and more angular than the original. Thanks for the feedback jodtan.

I just wanted to thank everyone in the community for all of the comments/questions and feedback that I have received over the past few months on my project. I enjoy being a part of this community and now that I am working at Aqualu I talk to Cruiser owners daily and I am always referring owners to IH8MUD if they have'nt already heard of it. Regards, Bob.

Hey there Rob,I bought the doors from Aqualu Industries and then built my own door panels to fit the speakers. You can check out the door panels on their website.

Hey there Eli, sorry to hear about your shoulder. I hope that you have a quick recovery. I doubt that I will be able to get any time off from work but I am sure that my boss will be going to the event, he usually sets up a display at Moab.

Bob.

How about thowing us a bone over here, buy a damn star already and post all your buildup pics. Dude you have one of the nicest 40s I have ever seen, totally jealous.
