Herky said:I am talking about the Aquala tubs, but it looks like you probably mated yours upto an aluminum cowl so you may not have had the same problems.
On the 1979 and newer cowls you don't have the flange to bolt up to like you do on the 1978 and earlier cowls,that's why the triangular plate comes with the tub.If you could weld a piece of angle on the inside of your cowl to give you something to bolt the new tub up to then you could use some filler to finish off the outside of your seam.I hope that this makes some kind of sense(if only I had some pictures of what I am trying to explain).Herky said:I'm in the process of putting an aluminum tub on my '79 right now.
