Prinsudesignstudio.com beautiful racks
Nice looking rack but the rear crossbar and the front air deflector are both touching the roof. Other crossbars may be as well. That's not good. Rust and noise from the two rubbing each other would make me unhappy about spending that much.

Not true. Nothing touches the roof. My Prinsu rack is the first 80 series one and is actually closer to the roof than the production versions that a few other people have now, and none of the crossbars or the deflector touch the roof. The production version is about 1" higher off the roof. Either way, the factory rack rails need to be removed.

IMO, the Prinsu rack is the best rack on the market for the 80 series.

For the record, I didn't mean not to do one. And really like the Prinsu and by no means saying a couple a yakima bars and box are better or close to equivalent. More just as an option depending on the use and cost. I use my setup year round between skiing and camping. It works for me and is relatively cheap compared to "full solutions", so justifying a rack vs what I have and use is tough for me a bit.

Custom stainless rack 51×40. Low profile gutter mounts. Rhinolined. Thought the size frame of reference might be helpful.....

No problem with keeping it simple with a couple load bars if that's all you need. Full blown quality racks aren't cheap and not worth the expense IMO if you don't really need one. Honestly, I prefer not to have any kind of roof load if I can help it but I need to be able to use my RTT on occasion with the 80 so that's what necessitated the full rack.

I like the Baja that @surfpig and couple are running. But they are low profile as well.

The prinsu is nice but it maybe to low profile for my liking.
Don't judge it solely on my pics. Mine is lower profile than any of the others. There are a few other MUD members that have the rack now and it sits a bit taller than mine.

Low profile isn't for everyone I guess, but for me it was one of the key things I wanted.

I like when it has "side walls"

fair enough. Basket style racks are good too. I needed a flat rack so I could use my RTT. A basket wouldn't let the tent open all the way, unless I had the tent mounted to the top rails of the basket and I didn't want the tent mounted that high.

That makes sense. Don't get me wrong. It looks nice. Really nice.

Yakima stuff is cheaper than most other options, has a ton of flexibility with other products they sell, and is decent quality. I have their gutter mounts, crossbars and basket. I'm very happy with it.

x2 on the Yakima crossbars and a skybox. With the 16s, you still have plenty of bar space to use for other things. With the factory crossbars, the box will use all available space.

Mpg is typically better with the box at 70mph than without in my experience, which was a pleasant surprise.

Its probably overkill for a lot of people, and a biased opinion for sure, but I think ARB builds an excellent rack. I've been pretty hard on the rack systems I've had in the past, and decided to step up to something that wasn’t going to bend if I stepped on it. I got the steel ARB rack (the only one offered at that time, ARB now offers a lighter alloy rack) from Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters. That was like five years ago, and I've been very happy with it. Thing's freakin tough, it seems like my roof would collapse before I ever overloaded it. Driving on overgrown trails, knocking down limbs. I have done dozens and dozens of trips, stepping all over it loading and unloading a ton of gear. Sometimes the wife and kids like to take in the view and ride on top which adds up to hundreds of pounds of bodies and gear. I've used this rack hard and it is holding up perfectly.

The down side is its expensive, and heavy. Clearly any weight on the roof in the turns and in the off camber stuff increases the pucker factor, but the rack is a necessary evil for us, and having it up there hasn’t deterred us from the hard trails... the rack makes for good hand holds for people to hang on to help keep it upright (:
