I don’t know why anyone would expect anything different for towing results. For one, it’s about what was expected, did better than I thought considering the low temps, high weight and up I-70. Secondly, electric vehicles are not for towing (at least not yet!). I tow a trailer up that same stretch of I-70 about 25 times a year, I don’t plan on doing it with an EV.
It’s all about your expectations. The Rivian is a fast luxury suv with a lot of tricks and it checks a lot of boxes to make it a great vehicle. But it’s not for towing, it’s not gonna off-road like a LC either.
That’s why I’m getting a Rivian, and I have no plans to get rid of my 200. They are completely different vehicles.
