Hehe, tis true. I don't deny some of this is my own undoing. Props to the brave guy using all 24 gallons, maybe with the safety of a jerry.
My typical fill is 18-21 gallons leaving some reserve. I drive hard and fast, and perhaps on my best days, see peaks of 16.5 MPG. Now that I'm modded on 35s, with my driving style, average nominally 13-15MPG. To be fair, the Cybertruck is slated to come with 35s and 500 mile range.
Stock tank - 21 gallons * 15 MPG = 315 miles
Stock + Aux tank - 35 gallons * 15 MPG = 525 miles
I wonder when we will see huge battery tankers that can pull up and top up or charge 4 teslas to full at a remote stop.
While electricity cant be delivered like gas as was pointed out earlier, a giant battery can surely be hauled. Seems like a good service business to me.
I would guess it would be a good venture for next 10 years or so until the charge networks proliferate.
