Ya, I gotta a little crazy there with my chops... I kinda like the one wtih the black up the front fender and the silver and white stripes. I may end up doing something like that. as for now, here is what the Big Blue Box is sittin' like as of about an hour ago.

and 5. It's Herculiner. I know some people say it fades, but I think I've heard the same for every other damn product out there... And it was on sale for like $60 a few months ago and it's just been sittin' there and I'll just rattle-can it if it does fade... Sorry, I can't get a full shot right now cause it's drying and I can't pull it outta the garage.

As you can see from the pics, the paint on the rest of the rig SUCKS... so I might still go up farther with the liner. I figure if I don't like it, I can just rattle-can over it back to the blue.

I see what your saying with the two-tone, but I don't really feel like lining half way up the body all the way around. I kinda like the way Docs is, except that I for sure would run up and around the wheel openings a bit (like I did on mine), or perhaps throw on those nice fender-flares that you can buy.

Anyway, we'll see how it goes.

Ben, when it fades just go to your local Rhino Liner dealer and get the pint container of Rhino Shine Ultra and coat it. I used it on my Hurculined 60 exterior and it worked well. I think it is going to be a yearly thing.

I hurculined the tub and some of the outside of my LWB samurai. Man that UV kills the color that's for sure. I havent tried the Rhino brite stuff yet, but I will.

Lookin' good so far Ben.

Definitely post up a full profile when it's dry, before you go up any further, so we can see what it looks like.

I think that's Dave Beckett's truck, it doesn't look like that now. At Rubithon it rolled off the shelf road above Buck Island Lake and got some custom bodywork! You are right though, prior to that it was one of the nicest 60's I've ever seen. Just prior to the rollover, he broke 2 birfields at the top of Big Sluice and the roll happened while towing. When the 60 went over it nearly pulled the 40 towing it over as well. Scary, sobering stuff. Dave was ok fortunately, just some bumps and bruises.

Turbo (Diesel) bummer.

I was thinking along these same lines (pardon the pun) but after seeing yooper's pics of the two-tone 60, I'm thinking that's a better way to go.
Line it along the factory lower lines, and color-match the paint up to the upper body lines.
Mine's a faded version of ferg's blue, so gunmetal on the bottom and a fresh blue on the top.
Now I just gotta figger out where to put the nose art.

Can't you just paint over the Rhino with the factory color? For what you guys are using your rigs for, you could do the old Maaco special after you Rhino it. You'd get the best of both worlds! Just throwing out an idea, I really don't know what you can do with the stuff!

I actually LOVE it on that red. I'm still debating doing that same thing on my blue. I'm pretty much done with what I was trying for right now. I'll try and get some pics of it tonite.

As to painting over it, one of my buddies from Logan has a lower section of his 40 herculined and then painted over it with spray paint to match the rest of his body. Been holding up just fine last I heard.
