i like the hoods on the white and orange ones.

That's all I have. Hopefully that gives you an idea of what it would be like. I don't know why I don't like it on a blue one...I like it on all these ones just fine. But, I do think that you could do just a 2 to 3 inch lining all the way along the bottom all the way...like essentially the same as these, but don't do the whole giant front fender area...just the area that would essentially be like the fender flare area... That's what I'm actually plannin' on doing to mine...

I too like the black space on the hoods. I have PLENTY of pics of 60s with that done. I plan on doing it to my cruiser for sure.

SO what is the cost to do the line-x or rhino lining done? what about prep work? I as thinking of doing this to my dark blue (aftermarket) 60 only not going over the front fender just extending the line straight to the wheel well. I want to POR it first, would there be any reaction in chemicals? I know POR doesn't like xylene.

i've heard the line-x is the best brand...and the less paint you have, the less you have to worry about scratchin it

Damn. All those attachments are gone... Oh well. So anyway, I've been thinking more and more of doing something like this on my 60. I said before I don't think I like it all the way up the front fender to the fender line on blue, but almost everything else looks good. I think I am actually starting to like it. Been messing aroudn on photoshop seein' what I like and I think I came up with a solution: Add in a third color as a "pin-stripe" that follors the edge of where you go with your liner. Here's a few pics I ended up with for my rig. What'cha think?

Or maybe two "pin stripes". And the stripes wouldn't need to be so thick, I just can't go smaller than 5 pixels with photoshop 6.0... Needa install that Photoshop CS.

Personally I don't like it up on the front wheel well humps unless you carry it at the upper line on the body all the way back, like the two tone factory paint jobs, which approximate the look of an FJ55 paint scheme. If you want it low in the back, then I like it straight across like Doc's. A compromise, treating the middle rear side panels like some of your photochops, isn't too bad. Here are two pics that illustrate the bedliner up the wheel wells and a factory two tone paint job (that's me in front of a friend's Cruiser).

I'm going to do mine like Doc's too.

Also the colors should be dark on the bottom, light on top. I did a quick chop on top of one of ferg's, sampling some of the bedliner color for the middle portion. Looks kind of cool I think:
